A fine Monday morning to all of you here in Reoville! I hope you all survived this 4 day weekend alright. I'm ready to get back to work. I can't take too many of these weekends. They are highly overrated. I actually have more time for myself on workdays than on weekends. Have a really nice day all!

Not at all. What I'm saying is for the price if your going use cotton and have to buy something a kayfun is cheeper than most good gennys.

Good morning everyone!
I'm sorry I've been absent so much....I'm working through dealing with my dad again. He had heart issues and was admitted to the hospital in late September, then the night before his bypass surgery, he suffered a big stroke. This time the stroke took more than it did the last. I'm thankful he was in the hospital or he wouldn't be alive today. So I've been challenged with sorting through the bureaucracy for someone like him who has no assets and very little income and it has been (to put it mildly) a freaking nightmare. The worst part is what happened after it was all over. No one knows him well enough to tell if he's having difficulty and while I fought tooth and nail to keep him out of home, the law won and he was allowed to return to his home on Friday, the 21st of November. After not being able to reach him all weekend, I called his landlord to do a well-fare check on Monday. They found him on the floor of his apartment where he had been since Friday night with heart issues and severe dehydration on top of the other concerns we don't mention in polite company. Fit to be tied...I called everyone I could and vented, just shy of accusing them of trying to kill my dad. They admitted him to the hospital again on Monday and discharged him to rehab on Friday. So I'm still frantically working out how to get him approved for long term care so that he's never alone again. He's trying so hard to maintain his independence, but I wish he would just play along and humor me...it would make things easier for everyone and that's what he thinks he's trying to achieve by living alone is BF Egypt, Gila Bend. Ugh. Anyway....for those of you who have sent me PMs, I'm sorry I haven't responded yet. I'll get to it today. Just wanted you to know that I wasn't ignoring you on purpose. Just taking things one step at a time, because to do anything more than that, puts me in a bad place. I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving....Wayne has been holding me up and feeding me well while I sort this out....I'm a very lucky gal.

What a great two days I've had...me and my GD playing pool yesterday , then today my sis and BIL showed up for a quick visit on the way back home from N. Caroline from a visit with their son.
( If she'd been alone I wouldn't be in here, me and her would have hit every resale shop in a fifty mile radius)

I just got off the phone with a veteran's services organization and I'm amazed....these guys are breaking their backs to find something they can do to help my dad with the pickle he is in. The benefit is that it will be on his terms and not mine, hopefully he'll be more open to the options available to him. He's just being oppositional with my help. Just talked to my dad too and he's relatively cheery this morning, so that is good too. Crossing my fingers hoping that something good comes from all of this. Now I need to go pay his rent....gotta keep his apartment until we find him a new home to move his stuff to.

Lisa, from my bro's personal experience with the Vets service, I'm pretty sure he'll be well taken care of. The Vets fought for him for at least 40 years, and he finally got full benefits with all those years of backpay! Compared to the pittance he'd been receiving, he's now filthy rich!

Gotta go watch last night's eppie of WD...that one was a stunner!! This'll be my third time

Pretty good. Talked to an old friend that I've been missing. Funny how no matter how long we don't talk, things just seem to be the same when we get back together. Just pickup where we left off. I've never tried them. I saw some good sales. I haven't bought any juice this year as a matter of fact. I might just treat myself. What flavors are you waiting on? Inquiring minds. . . ????
