Good morning, REOvil!

Hey Reoville, I have a few questions about my new Reo and thought this may be the place to ask, please forgive my Newbness if it isn't. :)

I will preface this by adding I have a Woodvil 18650 with a RM2 I acquired from a B&M owner who had too many toys to give her the proper love she deserves. I do not believe there has been any maintenance done to her.

1. I have the older silver contacts and would like to do a little maintenance, would you recommend using Noalox or Deoxit Gold on the positive contact? Or is the Deoxit Gold for the gold contacts only? Are they both available at Home Depot or Rocky's?

2. I seem to have a problem over-tightening the RM2 top(?) to the deck, I put a little O ring on the threads but did it again. This isn't my problem though, in order to loosen it I counter twisted two wrenches and scratched the brass on the atty. It's driving me nuts to look at now. Is there a way to buff out the scratches?

3. This one I know is subjective but I'll ask anyway. Do you have more success wicking the RM2 with Organic Cotton (KGD) or Cellucotton? Curious if anyone had experienced a noticeable difference between the two.

Thank you in advance- Meagan

Welcome to REOvil, Meagan! I think all your questions were answered except nobody said Woodvils do not need Noalox or Deoxit. The wires take care of that issue.

Thank you for chiming in on the wood Jen...I read her post a couple of times and almost everyone was sayin "Noalox" so i started to panic...I've never done that with my woods! So I thought" I am a pure idiot.."
I was about to start scrounging around for some old Noalox!
