Was chatting in a google hangout with one of the folks from the porch. Lookin at the tootle puffer thread, then will probably sign off and watch some tv. Loved the iron man movies! Would probably have never watched em if my sil hadn't said how good they were.

Nice.
My Reo that just come back from the spa is arcing back again. I remembered to put deoxit gold as soon as I receive it as well as on the batteries that were not arcing on the other Reo. Rob said everything's fine and he tightened the spring screw for me. Just out of idea...might have to just keep that one as a spare/backup..

hmmmm if you applied the deoxit gold with a qtip, try putting just a drop on your finger, and applying it that way to both batt ends, + contact and top of spring. When I used a qtip, a lot of it soaked in the qtip, so it started arc'ing again. I use two drops, one for batts, then another for contact and spring. Wow, just this little bit of typing and using the mouse has my arm/shoulder screaming again, so gonna sign off. But maybe see if that helps. Talk to ya probably sometime tomorrow hun. Hope you sleep well when you get there.

Happy Monday REOville! Got past the skunk situation on Friday and yesterday, Mothers Day, we spent most of the day at my daughters home..her furbaby Samson has lymphoma, watching him deteriorate has been heart breaking. He passed to the rainbow bridge last night at the vet. My daughter lost her oldest boxer Baylee on Christmas Day 2014 and her middle boxer on Mothers Day. Sure has been a stressful and sad weekend for me. No longer suffering or taking those mean chemo pills Samson. Pic is Baylee and Sam, both together at the rainbow bridge. :(

I'll try the fingertip suggestion to see if it helps. I have the deoxit gold pen and usually only use it after I used the eraser and alcohol on all contacts/batteries. It's just a weird thing as my other Reo is fine with the exact same atty.
Anyone know if the hammertone finish can be sanded out under the spring? I did that to my black wrinkle Reo but not the hammertone. Just thinking what's the difference between the two Reos as the hammertone one is the one that's having problems...
Hope it's ok to post it here. I'm at a lost as running out of things to try to get the arcing goes away, it's ruining my new batteries...
