Santa Maria sounds like one of those southern Cali places. I'm in the good half of the state- northern Cali.
Unfortunately I'm in the state Capitol thru no fault of my own...
12 hours after the power outage, it took 3 restarts of my roku to get it working. Once I got the roku working, my computer (which was working) decided to go south.
...
and now, after 3 computer reboots, the damn computer seems to be working again, but roku got flaky.

It's like Internet tv that has apps for Netflix, Amazon, mgo, HBO, etc.
I got mine over a year ago and cancelled my cable.
I now have 4 rokus in my house, uses the Internet to connect

yep. no more cable for me. just internet. now i gotta see if i can con comcrap into lowering my internet bill
on a side note, since i can't sleep, i decided to hack off my beard. but my clippers are dead, mebbe from the power outage.

Hard to say...I live between the Skagit Valley Casino at Bow Hill (to the east) and the Swinomish Casino on Hwy 20 (to the west). Silver Reef and Northwood are both North of us, Angel of the Winds and Tulalip are both South of us.
Good morning everyone! Wind is howling outside. I had an embarrassing moment this morning. Woke up alone with the dogs, looked out my window and quickly grabbed my phone, hid under the covers and texted Wayne, asking "why is there a guy smoking outside my window?" He flies into the bedroom like a tornado asking who....where....what guy? I poke my head out of the covers pointing to the guy in the red shirt, green pants with a blonde top smoking a cig....turns out it was a nursery stump, being buffeted by the wind. 
In my defense, I didn't have my glasses on.

Good morning Lisa! Pretty funny but obviously not so at the time. I have a hard time as well when I don't have my glasses on. Which is only when driving. The rest of the time I like the softness of the world which is my visual perception when I'm without glasses. I got used to it a long time ago as I've needed glasses for distance since I was a kid. And, as we grow older, the vision doesn't get better.

Hahaha...ya, we need window coverings in our bedroom, not to keep people from seeing in....you've seen our back yard....our nearest neighbor is over 1000' away. We need them to keep me from seeing things that aren't there when I wake up.
Ah so it is my DW keeps telling me it's north but I looked and well it's definately south IMO.
well maybe close to the middle its between Los Angeles and San Francisco

Quick question
On the button covers, I'm looking at the Black Delrin , but the picture shows the silver ones.
Is the heading, .. or the picture wrong. I want the black ones since I don't want it to stand on the mod (color wise)
Or, in the long run, am I better off just staying with what it comes with

I think they put a charge through of like a dollar or two to make sure it works, and I don't have it in there right now

hehehe I know that was scary at the time. Funny what our eyes will do. One night driving to my dad's house in Houston (bout 4 hrs away), very dark country road.......I suddenly saw a man in a long cape, hunched over, standing in the middle of the road, swingin an old lantern. Started slowing down, locked all the doors, was thankful my son was sleeping, thoughts raced about turning around, but no other way to go without going a couple hours out of my way......many prayers going up.......creeped a little closer....... more prayers...... finally got close enough to see that there was no man.....it was a semi truck parked on the side of the road with his red lights on. I'd been putting off going to the eye doctor, but after I told my dad about that.....he made sure I got in to the eye dr quick after that!!

hehehe ratty......I'll get one at some point! Got a couple eternity bf atties, so once I get my DIY stuff, I can start saving for a Reo. I'll have to find out what Rob charges to upgrade to the new 510 and maybe new contacts. Might be better off price wise getting a new one, not sure. But I have some time to find out. Bday is in July, so might be able to get my son to kick in some on a reo then. You're so sweet to want one for me, but I'll get there.......patience grasshopper!! lol knows this girl has no patience! lol

dunno, but I doubt it........I think I have more patience now than I used to........but some if it is cuz I've been forced to have patience. some of it is, that I'm just more relaxed now that I'm not working 30 hrs a day 9 days a week! lol

When you start looking that can be a good bargaining point, if the price is out of line, that in addition you'd have to add in the cost of upgrading contacts, new 510, and all of a sudden you're 20.00 shy of a new one. Why buy used to save that much?

Cuz yur a sweetheart! Yeah, that was my thinking. Never got verified, so haven't seen classie prices, but most folks say that many of them don't factor in things like that. They aren't a lot cheaper there than new. But I am determined to figure out this paypal thing, and get verified........also, I now have an opportunity to dip my toes into diy, which I didn't think was going to happen for quite awhile.......and that was my next step on the road to Reo, so I'm just clippin right along!! I'll be here officially before we all know it. lol
