I have a webcam built into my new PC so do I need Google Hangouts? If so, i'm gonna jump on it! Cuz a Reonaut video hangout would be SOOO awesome!

Some brainiacs will have to get the ball rolling on this!

All we need it the names of the people to join the video chat! Add the names to your contacts on Google Hangouts.

ok.......I clicked on the one that said for computers, and it said that it added it to chrome.....but it didn't dl anything that I could tell. (the hangout I mean)

You have to add people to your "circle". Then you can click on their name to do a hangout. I will try to see what I can do at home this weekend. In the meantime you can be adding people to your circle! You need the name they use for their google account.

Thanks Scott! I thought I was watching, but at that time I was reaching up to get snow off the van and moving. Not good! Tomorrow morning we are supposed to have icy conditions. I might postpone my getting the groceries till Wed. Have to see what it looks like in the morning.

I've not yet checked Google Hangouts. Do you need user name or login email address to add people to your friends list. For example, my google name is not anything like my screen name here. Nor is it like my login address for google.

I've been very reticent to use many of the google services as they all sign you up for google plus. Then, it becomes difficult to change users (I have multiple google email accounts) Plus I got some people I never want to hear from again and if they found me there they'd just harass me.

None the less, I'd figure it out because I'd really like to do this. Busy tomorrow but maybe the next day I can do some more research and if Karen does as well...... We'll get something figured out.

On another note:

Told you all I'd be back! Took me awhile to nurse some wounds, still ongoing but I'm starting to feel like my crazy self again. I mean Dennis even wants to chase me down and dry shave all my hair and beard off! I know I'm doing good!!! :)

Glad you're feeling better!!

I think you came to the lounge after I'd gone over what I've been raked over. Talk to Torey, tell her I said she could tell you. As it is, I still don't have my boy back. Yet.

I'm really sorry you've had a bad time hun. Hope it all works out right very soon!

Okay ladies, I really need your help.

I've decided it's time for a change regarding hair. I've talked about this before but I'm getting serious now. I'm thinking of:

1. Getting an inch of my hair cut off, just to straighten it at the bottom. Been years since I've had a haircut. (My hair is over halfway to my belt to I've some room to work.
2. about an 1 1/2 inches above the bottom of my hair get a 2" bleach job. Below that I'll still have 1 1/2 inches of brown hair.
3. Take those 1 1/2 inches and get it dyed purple. Not bright, but noticeable.
4. Trim my beard (been a couple of years for that as well.) Should I leave it the color it is which is black, blonde, brown and grey, or dye it.

Or: dreadlocks.

I'm open for suggestions. Many of you will probably laugh. Well, if I can make you laugh today I've done a good thing :)

hehehe muzik.

I'd definitely vote for #1 and beyond that I'm not much help. I'm not much on beards, like to see a person's face.

I do love some long hair....mine was 1/2 way between my .... and my knees up til a couple years ago. I've never seen anyone that had a strip that was bleached or dyed, so am trying to picture that. Of course yanno I'd say purple if ya go for any color lol

Yep, dreads....

There are a couple of ways to do dreads, Any knowledge on those? You can do it naturally in which case the hair dreads together and you just need to keep it in same size strands, could do braiding all the way around, or teasing. I looked it up on youtube and I can't figure out which way to go. I think I'd like braids all the way around....

Also, last night, you were explaining about how they would change the speed of music back in the day to please the artist, etc. And everybody played so slow.

One of the videos of that merle haggard performance of "I"m a lonesome fugitive" was a live tv broadcast, as far as I can tell. Would they still do that? Also, was it common to slow down or speed up to one of the 12 keys, pretty much right on? (I'm not counting the enharmonic keys...)

I never had a good reel to reel and have never played with getting the effects from taping back and forth, flanging, pitch change, etc. We have pedals for all that now and digital recording. I love learning how it originally was done.

Thanks, Fleet
