If you find one somewhere, either the whole kit or the AFC cap, better snap it up quickly. Word from VA is that they have stopped making them and there are only a handful left anywere. Mountain Oakes had a few though not listed on their site, only way to get the bottom feeder base was to buy the whole kit. The AFC caps had to be purchased from the UK to complete the set.

Hard to believe they would stop making a product that is in such high demand, hope they are working on something new that will be just as good if not better.

The top cap AFC will fit on the IgoS that Rob sells. So there's not a real need for the BF Cyclops if you wanna go that route.

I just prefer to buy an item all at one time, hate the idea of splitting shipping costs. That adds up LOL. Hopefully they do come out with something better then, if they are going to discontinue this.

Yes! Didn't have to use this info, I was able to snatch up the last bottom feeding cyclone Vapor Trading Co had. They do still have some black and red AFC top caps available though if anyone wants one. $55 each, but their website payment processor is broken so you'll have to call them. (832) 369-7171 option 1 They are in Texas.

Well I finally gave up with my ineptitude at this stuff and I'm back to my tried n true CVS cotton. now i'm stuck with a lot of RxW and a brand new coil gizmo:facepalm:
I should have known better...I never liked fiddlin around with stuff even when I was young:D

Maybe I'll learn to make jewelry

NOT!

Kay, here is one thing that I have come to learn about making the ReadyXWick work for me....

I am using the last of my 3mm now and here is how I made it work for me:

I took a Q-Tip and cut one end off with scissors.
I then wrapped 28 gauge wire around the shaft of the Q-Tip.
I mounted the coil onto my RM2 posts.
I cut the one end of the wick on a slant and screwed it into the coil.
Now, the wick gets a bit choked in there because the wick and the coil are basically the same size, so...
I took hold of one or two strands of the wick and pulled them out. This made the wick a touch smaller in diameter.
Lastly, I unfolded a large paperclip and ran it through the center of the wick to open up the hollow core.
Squonk and wait 5 minutes for juice to soak in.
Vape.
It wasn't great for the first 15 minutes of vaping, but then once the wick became accustomed to being wet, it started being really good.

I almost gave up too, but maybe this will help you try again some day.

I buy the RXW if you don't want it but if you have the 2mm wick it's really super simple.

After help from fellow reonuts I bought the gizmo as well so here is what you do.

Take the second to smallest gizmo thingy wrap a coil like you normally would.

Take a small piece of ready wick and clips the top part of the wick in half with a nail clipper so that the wick on the top end has basically half cut off. Now you should be able to slide it through your micro coil with ease and it fits freaking perfect!!
