On the reosmods site, looking at the pics of the mini 2.1 it seems some have a window the size of the bottle, some have a window that shows a good portion of the battery. can anyone clarify what size window is on the 2.1?

You are correct, the two are different. The bigger hole is to accommodate larger thumbs.
Roughly (not using a micrometer) the measurements are
Mini (14500): 9/16"w x 7/8"h
Mini 2.1 (18490): 11/16"w x 7/8"h

Shammons, dude, are you comparing catch-cup sizes too? That's gonna determine what atties you can throw on there! (w/out adapter/extender, that is)

So you're saying they're the same width? Must be an optical illusion, but the one looks a good 1/8 to 1/4 wider. I've seen some pics where you can't see a battery and some pics where theres a big chunk of orange sticking out. on the mini 2.1 is there a lot of battery showing?
I'm really only interested in the mini 2.1 or the grand which (by my understanding) have the same catch cup. I was just questioning whether the battery shows a lot in the window of the 2.1
No, they are the same height. The hole on the 2.1 is an 1/8" wider. Sorry...I'll fix my post.
