Hey jsado
Come on now.
Don't buy those.
Your looking for trouble.
It only takes one crappy battery from China to seriously ruin your day.
The safest and best lithium batteries right now are made in Korea or Japan, AW and Redilast.

China has absolutely no quality control what-so-ever.
With lithium batteries, it doesn't take much to make them dangerous (like a bomb).
For Example:
Ultrafire 18650 3000mA exploded

Spend some time on the CPF forum, they really know their batteries.

REO Grand comes with:
1) Little zip bag of Noalox
2) Spare 6ml bottle
3) Drip tip
4) Short piece of thin tubing to restrict thin juices (when inserted into the main feed tube)
5) If you are real real lucky and your Biorhythms are peaking, you may even get a LR-510 atomizer.
But don't get your hopes up too high on that last one.

Stay Thirsty My Friend

 ....I like #5, tobarger.

Jsado...there won't be any atomizers included for some time if ever again. Rob wasn't satisfied with the quality control issues he was having with the atomizers he was getting. It was becoming too much of a hassle when the atomizers, along with the drip tips and spare bottle are included as a gift. Just wanted to clear that up. :)

jsado, remember, you're recharging those batteries in your home, and holding them in your hand and near your head.

Greeaaaaat. This is really comforting. So what battery is going to be best then??? The battery in the story is the same battery that was recommended for the reo, isn't it?

Yes, that is the recommended battery.
Rob made sure that battery would fit into the REO Grand.
Probably because its a very popular battery right now.
Its popular because of the 3000mah rating, which is a lie.
The Chinese manufacturer claims 3000mah to sell more crappy batteries, and it works like a charm.
The people at CPF know batteries, but they don't make REO Grands.
Rob makes great REOs, but may not have a vast knowledge of batteries.

Let me see if I can help you out with your dilemma.

For years, every day, people have been logging on to the CPF forum and starting threads that ask for recommendations on "which battery is the best" and "which charger is the best". Why, because alot of people that hang out on CPF study, research, analyze and test batteries and chargers. It may very well be a form of mental illness, but you will not find anyone to dispute the fact that many of these people are indeed experts on batteries and chargers. For years, the overwhelming response to these two questions has not changed on the CPF forum.

What lithium battery is the best/safest? - AW
What lithium battery charger is the best/safest? - Pila

But don't believe me, spend some time on the CPF forum and be convinced.
Thats what I did.

Carry On
and
Smoke um if ya got um

Furthermore, in conclusion:
If you want to save money, buy batteries from China.
Will these Chinese batteries that have a higher mah rating be better than AWs? - NO
Will these Chinese batteries be as safe as AWs? - HELL NO

Where the hell were you when I was scrambling to buy batts and charger for my REO? LOL

It's all good. Everything needs to be replaced eventually, so I'm glad you posted.

All these things eventually need to replaced, especially batteries if you're a heavy vaper, so no worries. I've got a UF-188 that I love, but I'll be eyeing a pila if it gives up the ghost.

After being a staunch AW high drain guy, I finally tried some UF 3000mah 18650's. Not bad, I don't regret getting them, especially at half the cost.

If the wrapping starts coming off of your batteries, don't pinch a penny or try to be a hero, get rid of them and buy some new ones

Don't worry about it, like I said, the Ultrafire 18650 3000mah battery is very popular right now.
Thousands of people around the world are using them every day with no disastrous results.
Just be aware that every once in a while a bomb that looks just like a battery slips through Chinese quality control.
So just keep a little closer eye on them for any signs of impending doom when you use or charge them.
If you got um use um, I wouldn't throw them away.
Be careful out there, it can be a dangerous world.

My Pila charger is very nice, you will like it.
I did a lot of research before I bought it.
Will handle just about any size 3.7v battery with the appropriate spacers.
Its the only charger I use now.
Not for charging a123 Life 3v batteries.

I have to agree on this. The cpf thread pointed out that the battery that did explode was not performing correctly the day before. If that was me and there were any signs of wear or underperformance it would have been replaced immediately.
