My door holds in place during use just fine.

But once I slide it to release the magnet, there's no "stop" to keep it from falling right out. At one point I had a couple layers of self-stick labels on the back of the door. This worked well, but the stickers eventually started to bunch up and peel off. Also when closed, the bottom of the door is "clicky" if you tap it, because it's just floating there.

Is there a "fix" for the dropping door?

Another great fix is to use a small amount of clear silicone caulk along the seams of the door (on the mod itself). I bought one in the classified one time that had this done. You can't see the silicone, but it holds the door more firmly in place and helps prevent any unwanted rattles.

If you don't like it, just rub it off.

I have no problem popping my batteries out with my thumb and hate having stuff wrapped around my batteries.

I put a 1/16" piece of self adhesive rubber weather stripping behind the bottle. It pushes against the door just enough to eliminate rattle, and if the door slides down, the bottle catches the hole in the door.

Neat idea, Pack. I wonder, can you cut it shorter so you're not having to loop it around the battery? How does it affect your bottle squeezing? Does it make it more difficult?

The cutting of plastic, is made by trial, as I have, is the spot for me, you can try your with a paper of the same thickness of the plastic, not to spend this..... and in no way affects the squonk ..... still has the advantage of being able to see the liquid level.

The plastic I used, was a cover of documents papers, but I'll try find a fluor color, which must be beautiful .... later i will show.

Thanks, I just might have to try this. sounds much safer than "bendology."

I'm glad you posted this...I hadn't thought about the fact that it would fly right off but I did notice that it rattles.

I shall try the electrical tape :)

A little strip of tape around your battery long enough to leave a tab works like a charm! In fact, it works so well, I don't like it sometimes because when I hold my reomini or grand, I flick the door up just to feel it catch on it's way down.

I LOVE THOSE MAGNET DOORS! :D

As a chronic fidgeter, I quite agree! They're wonderful fidget toys. I've had the door pop off in my purse on occasion but never when I'm using it or it's sitting around.

LOL. I think the electrical tape idea is the fix... a whole lot of birds, one stone...

A ribbon loop around the battery also works well.

the too quick quick, lot of birds, ribbon loop thread:laugh:I knew I could count on Reonauts:laugh:

Sorry pack21, about your issue though, don't be afraid to put a little thumb pressure when unhinging, it's a tough thing you got there.
