Reo Mini under load Voltage Drop

Hey guys:

I've got a question and hope to get some insight

To keep this short, my Reo measured 4volts w/o and atty on it. Put a 1.5ohm LR 306 on it, and the voltage dropped to 3.2.

Is that normal?

hmmm i dont know if thats normal or not but i would think with an atty on it would make a difference .........

depends on the type of battery you're using i think its normal. i think an AW would handle it better than the *****fire ones.
if i remember corretly i'd get 3.6-3.7V on an 18650 black and red trustfire fully charged.

If your using a standard 14500 then, yes that's pretty typical. A regular black AW might do a little better, but try out a AW IMR 14500 and you could really see a difference

The reasons I even noticed is because the hits I was getting were kinda so so. Didn't think much of it.. Kept measuring the battery and it was fine. Went from 4v to 3.6 throughout the night.. Put a new AW IMR inside, and a new LR 306 atty and didn't get a satisfying hit.

Used the same atty on a different device and everything was fine.

All batteries I use are AW IMR's. I don't own any other ones.

Just tried two different IMR's.

Both fresh off the charger. 4.05V w.o load.. Screw on a carto and voltage drops to 3.3v. Both batteries are the red AW 14500's IMR.

Using a non IMR battery the voltage drops from 4v's to 3.1v ...

thx but that only verifies something is wrong. The voltage should not drop that high of a amount considering what batteries what I am using..

yup.. did that last night as well Question: Is there such a thing like too much Noalax on the Pin?

I am going to give it a good cleaning later on.

I have a different bottom feeder I have been using, with the aw imr 18650 batteries, and in the last two days I have noticed the same thing. I can take my carto off of the mod, put it on a Joye 510 mega battery and get a better hit. Kinda confusing. But I just realized that I leave my batteries on the charger when they are finished, was wondering if you do the same thing, maybe that might be the problem.
Just a thought.

hey Pneathery: No, I take mine off as soon as the green light appears. I'm puzzled.. Even with Trustfire's 14500 batteries on a different mod, my voltage drop is only .1v..

I'm going to have to clean the firing pin and the 510 connection with alcohol, and re-apply some Noaloax.. See if that will do the trick.

Yes...it can help but it can also hinder....so I would give it a good cleaning and see if that helps.

Another thing that my help is remove your atomizer and using a Q-tip...swab the threads in the atty connector and on the atty. Then put the atomizer on again. Sometimes too much juice in the threads can "dull" it down some.

One last thing is to remove the battery spring, clean underneath, and put a little noalox in the screw hole.
