Going today for new battery. I'm almost sure it's the battery.
Wow, they have someplace near you that sells them? That's handy. You might want to look at a new charger just in case.

You say you are using standard 510 attys - these do not work well on the REO. You should be using LR (low resistance) attys, which work great.
So, I got in contact with Vapor Kings who are 45 minutes from my house and they are going to once over the Reo to make sure that the issues aren't my incompetence. I ordered a LR atty 801 w/ adaptor.... so, we shall see. I'm starting to think that the Reo just doesn't vape much and that my expectations are too high. It's just so damn sexy; I don't wanna give up on it.

Oh boy, the 801 is very tricky to get the hang of on a REO.
I've been vaping for 14 months and had REOs for 4 months and I still have trouble with 801 attys.
When they work they are great, but I wouldn't recommend them for beginners.
A LR 510 atty or LR cartomizers are the easiest to learn with.
Have you called Rob from REOsmods.com his phone # is on the web site. He is a nice guy and will help you with any issue you are having with the REO.
+1 Try a 2ohm 510 atty.
I had a small breakthrough. Myself being a jeweler, I took some jeweler's pickle and cleaned the connections on the inside of the device. Aluminum and steel have a strange kind of oxidation that most are not aware of. They can form a clear oxide layer not readily visible by the naked eye. This is good for anodized aluminum which helps preserve the color from scratches but maybe not so good for switches and the like. Some steel knives can almost self heal scratches by rebuilding this thin oxide layer. Here is a good yahoo answers post that explains it better than I could: Why stainless steel has its own healing property? - Yahoo! Answers India
Anywho, I cleaned the battery mechanisms, and already I've seen a big bump in vapor and flavor... Still, nothing like the eGo-T or even my small 510 e-cig, but hey, it's something. big thumbs up! Next step.. LR atty
If you cleaned the switch, put a small dab of noalox on the tip of the firing pin (the grey goo that came with your REO in the plastic envelope)

ps. Much of my family lives in Campbellsville, Kentucky. It's a beautiful state to live.
Of course, noalox is specifically design to prevent that oxide layer. I'm thinking that my Reo formed this layer before reaching my hands. The more I vape, the better it performs. I knew the issues had to be power related cause my attys work well w/ other batteries. The vapor is much increased... however, the flavor is very average.
Hope you get it working. I just got a blue/blue Reo mini yesterday and I love it! Best vaping I've done to date. Trying a 306 LR atty right now and it is a bit hot but my LR 510s I get from TW are heaven on earth. The Reo mini is better than advertised!
