Just got my mini today and I can't wait to give it try. I was curious about the batteries that they use. Since the AW IMR 14500 seem to be out of stock everywhere I purchased a different brand that hopefully will work until the AW's are available again. What I was curious about is the different mAh that are used. The batteries that I ordered are 600 mAh but I have also seen and heard others use 900 mAh batteries for the mini. What is the difference and will the batteries I ordered work? This is my first mod so please forgive me if I sound a little ignorant on the subject :) I've heard nothing but great things about this device and I can't wait to put it to use!

And to answer your question, yes, your other batts will work.

The difference between the two is basically how much energy each batt can store. 600mah holds roughly 6 hrs of charge, 900mah holds about 9 hours (rough numbers).

There's a bit more to take into consideration than the above, IMO. Then again, I understand the appeal of wanting the PV to be 'plug & play' and not having to get an associates degree in Battery Science.

Just realize there are good reasons redeyedancer recommends the AW IMR's for all of his mods.

My apologies.
