So I just got my Reo back from Rob after it took the 2 week scenic route. I put a coil on it today @ 2pm & it was great :) So nice not having to use a tank or drip every minute. I stopped producing as much vapor as if the battery was dropping below 3.7 except it was a newer battery, then it wouldn't fire @ all.... I checked to make sure the screws were tight, all was fine & still wouldn't fire. I put a different atty on it with a new coil, still nothing:( I think my Reo hates me, any suggestions here? The spring has always been tilted. I'm so frustrated

Do you have a button cover on it? If so, take it off and try it. Sometimes the button cover slides down too far, and it keeps the firing pin from reaching the battery. If removing the button cover fixes it, then when you put it back on, put something in the cover to keep it from sliding too far down on the button again. Some put a piece of dental floss across the button then slide the button cover on.

Edit: the spring looks fine. As long as it touches the battery it's making contact. The tilt shouldn't affect anything.

Yeah, I got a piece of dental floss under it. I just got a new AW IMR battery a few days ago & it's the 1st button top I've had so the throw is obviously shorter, I took the cover off & it's making contact cuz it's pushing the battery out a tee bit. I will still take the cover off never know. I've never taken it off, does it just pop off w/ a screwdriver or something?

You should read the volts on your battery. You can use a multimeter.

If you see the contact touching the battery then you know you do not have the button turned to off, and that part is working.

Start with the battery even if it is new.

Check the ohms on your rba's. Put it on a ohm meter or check when off the REO with a multimeter.

To figure this out you must know if each part is working.

Very, very, very strange.. So this is the 1st chance I've had to mess w/ it as I've had appointments all day. Put a battery in & like nothing happened? No clue, could it have got too hot as I chain vape like crazy? Has anybody had yours just stop & the next day all is well? No idea, but whew.. All good now, I think it needs a temperamental name haha, whatever that may be? Ty everyone that responded, really appreciate it :)

I occasionally have the same problem with a couple of my batteries. For some reason with these 2 batteries they pop slightly out from the back of the mod when I slide up the battery door, Try sliding your battery door down enough to use your finger and see if the battery is staying snug up against the back of your box. Try manually pushing the battery back and at the same time taking a hit. See if you can tell any difference. I dont know why it works but with these 2 batteries I cut a small rectangle of folded cardstock and slide it between the door and the battery. So when in place it makes sure the battery stays nice and snug pressed into its spot and doesnt allow the battery room to pop forward. Not sure why it happens with these 2 batteries of mine but it solves the problem for me. Hope it helps.

If you are a button masher that could be the cause. Too hard of a push might push the battery out enough that it will not fire.

Every new Reonaut should do the "fire" test when first using a REO. Hold it to your ear and very slightly push the button down. The second you hear it sizzle stop pushing!

Over time button mashing can ruin your contact. It is really not a good habit.

Just remember and be kind to your REO button!

Yeah, that's a great idea! Yesterday was the 1st time I used a button top & I was probably very guilty of this considering it's obviously less throw. Been testing the Blue Samsung, red LG & new AW IMR. I will probably stick w/ the blue Samsungs. LG dies realllllly fast on me. Ty all again, love Reoville :)

Since nobody has asked this yet, I will... Is the button locked possibly. This wouldn't be the first time it has happened. Mine locks on me all the time and usually it is ever so slightly turned...

As for the LG HE2's, I am vaping @ .24 and .44Ω and get on average of about 10hrs per charge. I think the lowest they have vaped down to was 3.4v once or twice... This is the best battery I have used in my grands...

Do you own a multimeter? It might help narrow down where the problem is if it has a re-occurrence. You can check resistance between each point to make sure they are connecting right, the actual resistance doesn't matter so much as just checking current can pass through from positive to 510, then 510 to spring without a battery in there
