I stopped off at a local B&M for a few drip tips today. The gentleman helping me was quite interested to learn about the 2 pretty box mods I had with me. He called the manager over to check them out. The manager was excited to see them in the flesh as he has been contemplating a REO for a while now. I also got to tell another customer about my new pretties. They immediately noticed the cyclone atty and asked about that as well. Thanks to you guys I didn't sound/look like a complete idiot and was able to answer their questions!! I may have pushed the manager a little closer to taking the plunge. So now not only do I enable online I enable in person. I'm going to have a blame storming session and blame Taki and Keith. That's all. For now...

that's awesome. way to go! you're quite the enabler ;) I haven't had much luck in enabling in person at all, but, this was funny - a girl I work with, I let her try Wakonda a while ago in a PT2. She didn't like it - said it was weak and didn't really taste anything. Well she saw my REO a couple days ago and asked about it, then she wanted to hit it. "What juice is in it?" she asked. "The one you didn't like," I replied. She took a nice drag and fell back against the counter. Her head leaned back and vapor bellowed out of her mouth with the width of her smile.

"Oh my god, that tastes SOOOOOO GOOD!!!"

The right mod can make a difference. Carolyn (Owner of Stormy's Vapor Cellar) handed me her DNA30 mod with an airflow modified Nautilus Mini tank at 23.5 watts the other day in the store. I swapped my drip tip over and hit it. The airflow was at easy lung hit level and the vapor was thick and heavy and tasty. And,that was on a juice that I didn't care for on my Kayfun/Provari combo. She had removed the airflow ring on the Nautilus and drilled out the holes.

It's amazing how the right mod with the right delivery system can make a huge difference.

Kinda like a Les Paul gold top and an old salt and pepper Marshall? :D

Yep, but I was a weekend warrior musician and we used Peavey amps! In their book the writer revealed that Lynryrd Skynyrd's favorite tone amp was a Peavey Mace!

I'm stuck on a Peavey Vypyr Tube 60 these days. It's everything I want in an amp that I can roll out and load easily into a quad cab pickup. I went through a Roland Cube 60, a Marshall Valvestate hybrid, and a Vox valvetronix ad50vt before settling on the Vypyr (which is the only one in the list that has a pair of 6L6's). I kept the Roland for a home practice amp, but it can also gig if needed.

But, enough music chatter. Back to Reo Talk ... :)

I can't say the liquid is *never* at fault - but I frequently refer to "hardware/software mismatches." I make no apologies if my liquid doesn't "blow your mind" or "live up to the otherworldly hype" in a CE4. It's the functional equivalent of putting premium gas in an 84 Pinto - you just don't do it, ya know?

I agree. I think that's one of the reasons that people rave about a juice and call it their daily vape favorite, while others try it and report back that it tastes green or just yucky. I've been through juices that were best in a carto and juices that needed the Protank to mute some strong ingredient. Others are best in a Nautilus because if enhances subtle flavors.

The hard part is knowing which to use in vaping any particular juice. A dripper atty can be the first tool to use when a juice arrives, then you have to guess where to put it to vape it in tank format.

Mind you, not bagging on the Pinto... I'd own one. LMAO Been saying it from the beginning... "A great vape a synergy between the vaper, a device, and the liquid" - with several intermediary factors... the resistance of the coil, the wicking material, the ambient temperature of the room, the condition of the coil, etc. Then throw "taste is subjective" on to of all of that and the fact that someone might not just be in the mood for this liquid or that at any particular moment, regardless of how it's performing... and you get a "head scratcher." Part of the challenge of making liquid for wider consumption is pandering to the lowest common denominator and making liquid that pleases the majority of people in the majority of devices... the diversification of the number of available deliver devices, and the exponential growth of the vaper population, makes this an increasingly difficult challenge with every passing day.

Nice blower by the way. LMAO

Every once in a while I will stumble on a post where someone exclaims "XXX is my new ADV!!" - but they've only every purchased 15ml. /sigh If I found a new ADV, that 15ml bottle would get murdered in about 8 hours. LMAO I am a picky sob - there are very very few liquids I can hit for an whole day. If I find one, I stock up. It may never be an all day every day vape, but I'm pretty conservative when it comes to declaring something being 'ADV material' - and even then, I'm just one guy with an opinion - no different than any other vaper.

Livin' one day at a time. #fickle

ETA: The 1970 AMC Gremlin is one of the 50 worst cars of all time but the '71 Pinto out did it.

before my REO even Wakonda wasn't truly an ADV for this reason - I'd switch flavors several times a day. Post-REO, I vape Wakonda about 3 days straight, not even a hit of anything else. Then switch to Virus for 2-3 days, then back again. These two are my ADVs everything else is a treat when I'm in the mood to switch it up :)
