Reo repair question

I've got a loose 510 connector, I think. My rm2 wiggles side to side when connected. Is there a way for me to fix this myself, or am I better off sending it to the modmaster for tlc?

Rob's Rebuild Video

Rob goes through the whole rebuilding process if you have a kit- even without the kit, if you take the delrin cover off, grab the post below the connection with pliers(?) and use a flat screwdriver to to hold the 510 from the top, turn the bottom post to tighten.

I think they all will wiggle. Do you have it tightened down against the o-ring? That will minimize the wiggle.
I have never seen a carto, atty, that didn't wiggle in the connector. I would suspect that the 510 connector in the Reo is fine.

If still in doubt, check with Rob.

Yes they will wiggle a bit, Is this you first Reo or has it gotten noticeably worse on you over time? The rebuild kit will change the center pin not the threaded part. Try the 1.5mm, fatter o-ring, If that doesn't work you'd need to send it to rob to have the 510 connector replaced.

Great advice yes any atomizer will have some play as others have stated you may need to snug your atomizer down a whisker .
Of course if your threads are worn you will need to send it to me for a new 510 connection

Ok. Y'all have made me blush. Yep, I think I just need a thicker oring. When I tighten down more, the wiggle goes away. I hadn't tightened it more, because it puts the airhole on my rm2 facing the wrong direction.

Had that issue with my IGO-S....unlike the RM2 (with a screw cap) the -S is friction-fit with o-rings....had to remove the cap and just cinch up the base a tad....no sweat!!

Thicker o-ring will let you place the air hole where you want it and keep it from wiggling around.
