Actually, there is an easy way to remove the tube from a 510. They talk about it in the atty rebuilding thread.
Basically, you boil the attys (dead) for about 15 minutes which will loosen the bond between the base and the tube.
Then take any old battery and some shaft, you need about 5/8" - a drill bit will do- insert the atty into the dead battery and the shaft into the coil end, then you can generally wiggle the tube off without too much effort. You can use any shaft. Go to your hardware store, bring an old atty, and they should be able to find something.
