Hello all !

I am back to the vaping for 10 days now ! (so happy).

I always smoked more or less 1,5 pack of cigs a day and 3 years ago I discovered ecigs (I live in Switzerland so back then just nobody ever heard of it). I tried it, starting with the real looking cigarettes (don't remember the name) It was nice but back then the liquids didn't taste good at all and the technology was beyond ....ty but for the time being it was a good replacement from the "analogs". I directely stopped smoking. Then I tried different stuff but mostly Ego derivatives with the reffiling plastic containers, Lo atomizers, etc...
I also discovered great juices like tasty vapor, freedom smokes, rawr vapor, etc, thanks to the forum :).

But then as life goes, a new job, stress and I accidentaly returned to analogs after 5 months (a shaaammme !!!). Then for the last year and a half I've been back to 1,5 pack a day... Until I've found that a shop near me was selling Egos with clearomizers (I never heard about those because I've been out of the ecig world for a long time...) But it was cheap and voilà ! Since ten days I'm cigarette free again (I feel so good !!!!).

But looking at the evolution and great mods around, I am really thinking about investing in a reliable device that will last and that is the less hassle possible. Money is not really a problem (I'm not rich at all but prefer putting money in some stuff that will make me happy than for exemple in a PS4 or a xboxone that look like cheap upgrades to me, plus I don't desperate to see Peggle 2 coming to my trusty 360... Ahahahah).

Anyway I've been viewing videos and comparing a little. The Va:laugh:mo looks good and simple. The Provari looks like outer space .... but amazing too but I'm not sure I willl be so easy to get along with. And my favourite guess is the wooden Reo stuff. it's just beautiful but then it seems to me that it's the most complicated stuff because you have to mess with coils and atomizers and it doesn't come to your mail box all ready to use (or I got it wrong ???)

Thanks in advance for your advices ! Cheers vapers !!!

I've got all 3.

Started off with a Vamo, because I wanted something with variable wattage/voltage and longer battery life than a regular ego battery. You can use any standard 510 connection topper on it, from a basic CE4 type atomizer up to a rebuildable atty like a Kayfun or Taifun type.

The Provari is a superb consistent vape, again it's variable voltage with a longer battery life than a regular ego battery.

Whereas the Reo is a great box mod, but I feel it benefits more from a rebuildable atty like the RM2.

So if you want the cheapest option with no need to rebuild attys, I'd suggest the Vamo. If you want something more expensive, with a better quality vape, but will still accept any regular 510 connection atty - go for the Provari. If you want to get into rebuildable attys and like the form and shape of a box mod - go for the Reo.

Hope that helps a little :D

A provari with a carto tank or a Reo Grand with the Reomizer 2 (RM2) are both great combos. They both have a slight learning curve though. With a carto tank you need to learn how to prime a carto and swap the cartos in and out of the tank without making a mess. And with the Reomizer 2 you need to learn how to wrap a coil and make sure it isn't shorted. Neither task is very difficult once you've done it a couple of times.

My personal preference is the Reo with an RM2. But, I also really like my Provari. I think you'd be happy with either choice.

i feel like the sigelei zmax line is the forgotten stepchild of the vaping world. it's a similar price to the vamo and feel quite well made with solid threading. same functionality as the vamo, just less popular for a reason i know not.

If you want a variable mod in the price range of the vamo I really strongly suggest the Zmax.

I HAVE a Vamo V2. I have had it 10 months and it is still running BUT they are famously fragile so I have babied it. Zmax is just much more solid.

I also have a pair of REOs. You do NOT have to go rebuildable with them. A Plain old fashioned 510 dripping atty works just fine.

My Provari will be arriving tomorrow and my Vamo will go to the vapocalypse box.

i've dropped my zmax more times that i'd like to count on a hardwood floor and all that happened was the acrylic drip tip broke. i'm pretty sure i heard my pv laughing at the floor.

You have gotten awesome advice! The only 2 cents I will add is - regarding your favoritism towards Reo without rebuilding- I have Reos and did not want to rebuild (although I do now and its WAY easier than I expected) I used mine (and still keep on hand) with these KP Long Barrel Unsealed Atomizer - Kidney Puncher

Dirt cheap, great performance and of similar awesomeness to having the RM2 mentioned without any rebuilding.

i've had, ego-twist, vision-spinner, vamo v2, and now provari mini.
(i guess that is the typical trip most vapers go through?)

if i were you, i'd cut the chase and go straight to provari.
for whatever reasons, provari enhances the whole vaping experience.
for one, vamo used to give me all kinds of bad experiences, burnt hits, flooding, etc ... but i don't get those with provaris anymore.
there were times i'd get bad hits w/ vamos, makes you wonder if it's from atty or something else, but i been using the same tanks i had w/ vamo and once i switched to provari, all those problems disappeared.

Smoketech makes some "shorty" cartos that work good on Reos also.

Many of us stick with our egos yet- If you get a good brand you'll have reliability and performance.

Welcome back! Vaping was difficult back then, so give yourself a break. Many others are coming back lately too!

Just research everything you want to buy, and try to buy good name brands and you should be fine.
