Is the fuse reaction time fast enough to save the spring? If not it would be redundant methinks?

Yep, due to my own clutziness, I've tripped it several times. But the spring was always unscathed, in fact, I think it's still the original spring from 2 years ago. I have a spare spring, but I've never needed it. And even on the grand, waiting 30-60 seconds is easier than switching the spring.

Hey Ed! Scarey, isn't it? We're all trying to help so hard we post the same things. Ask one question and get the same answer 3 times in different wording LOL But at least the person that asks doesn't have to take one person's word for it!

So true. I have a question for you Bill. Have you tried the vape safe? Or any other fuses. Looking to get a few and need a comparison...TIA

Ok, I will definetely get a shortstop or something similair. I am new to rba's and though I do know how to builds coils rather properly, you never can be too safe. Thanks again guys. You Reonauts.... Kinda rock.

Both the short stop and vape safe come in two types. One is a one time use, the other will reset and last multiple times. The one time use are about the same cost as a spring. The multi use are cheaper in the long run than springs.

Yes, thanks ancient puffer! I was wondering the same thing (about redundancy) on another post that you mentioned about the fuse, but I felt to green to question the ancient puffer!

There are no stupid questions here, the only stupid part would be to NOT ask a question you may have so please, ask away!

Navy,

Most of the folks here, that have been using REOs for a while, don't at ALL consider themselves "experts" or "sages". We've just found what is, for us, the ultimate vape. That, along with support from Rob that sometimes is almost too good to be believed, is what makes the desire to share what we've picked up along the way, drive us to hang on this forum, offer advice, tips, etc. where we can, and generally maintain a huge pool of collective experience and knowledge.

Over the last few months, there's been an influx of new REOnauts, and many of them have already become quite knowledgeable in their own right. I won't name names, but they know who they are, and what they contribute to this community is priceless.

I just want to take the time to thank all of the "oldtimers" and "new recruits" that have been so generous and kind in sharing their knowledge and support with all of us.

*group hug*
