1. I'm getting a lot of gurgling 1/16 drill bit, 10 winds .28G kanthal = 1.2 ohms
2. Burning through a ton of juice.
3. Using stock air hole.
4. Using Rayon

I know everyone says drill out the hole. I did a 1/16 hole on an AGA T2 a while back and it was too airy.

What do you think?

So....the problem is...what? The gurgling? It looks like a good coil, and the wick looks about right. That's a RM2, right? I have opened some of mine up a little, but not to 1/16. The hole is easy to ream out, so maybe open it a little but not to 1/16. At 1.2 ohms, I don't think I'd go much bigger than stock air. I'm not trying to be dense, but exactly what do you consider a problem? Just the gurgling? That sorta sounds like too much juice....go a little longer between squonks, or lower the resistance a little so it'll vaporize the juice a little more efficiently. Is the flavor good? Is the vapor good?

1. When you vape is the air hole pointed skyward?

2. sounds right, enjoy.

3. Stay stock for now, since you didn't mention it feels tight or low vapor production

4. are you happy with it?

I'm somewhat happy with it. But the hits are very very inconsistent. It's either flooded or dry and is pissing me off.

Couple quick thoughts...

The gurgling could be either oversquonking (which is made worse, potentially, by firing with the air hole at your chin) or juice travelling up the cap to your dt (most likely from the wicks touching the cap. If the wick tail is covering the squonk hole, this might also be contributing to juice accumulation.

Hard to tell from the pic, but the coil might be a tad low. Is it level with the air hole?

If you are looking at the front of the device, my air hole is to the left, button in the right.

When I vape, the air hole is pointed toward my chin and the button toward the sky.

The juice that gets caught by the wick may be running up to your airhole creating the gurgle since you vape it with the airhole pointing toward your chin. Maybe try vaping the opposite.

Yep! Make sure however you hold the Reo the air hole is pointing to the sky. There was a o-ring that came in the baggie that should help if you put it between the atty and the Reo. I didn't need mine since it was perfectly aligned out of the box.

This is how I vape on the Reo. Thats me looking at it as im about to take a draw off of it. With the button pointing down. You can see the air hole almost at the 12 o'clock position almost 1.

You dont really need it to "travel". After you squonk the wick should be wet enough for a couple of vapes before resquonking. Take the o ring off and see if it helps with the alignment. like I said on my black Reo I don't need the o-ring because the coil and air hole lined up perfectly with out it. You don't NEED it on there, it's just for positioning.

that is the cause of your gurgle, from the little extra juice and condensation moving to the air hole. Either twist the RBA so the air hole is facing the button and stay with the button facing the sky or rotate the Reo and have the button towards your chin.

I like the button on top since I vape left handed and have the air hole facing the button. I use a thicker o ring than the 1mmx 10mm that comes with the RM2. Rob sells a 1.5mm x 10mm o ring or you can get thicker one at a hardware store.
