Would you mind sharing some pix on your Hornet wick and coils for a soon to be Hornet (rba entirely) noob? I have read all the other wick and coil threads and didn't see any setups on an actual hornet - as I understand it, it's actually smaller than an ERA (to fit on an 18490) so I am anxious to see how y'all put it 2gether. Thank you!

I'll definitely take some pics a little later tonight and put them up here.

Matt, as far as working with the hornet, do you slip the cap on and off while its on the REO or is it best to remove the atty first? Also, do you check the coil with a multimeter before putting it in the atty ? If so, if I want approx 1.5 ohms, should it be on the wire or when checking the entire atty? Thank you.

I usually take the Hornet off my Grand, put it on my ohm meter and THEN take the cap off. I highly suggest you get the multimeter from RTD Vapors its been real useful since I started building my own coils. I put the coil ON the atomizer then screw them down and then check the ohms. I don't always get 1.4 as soon as I put the coil in, so I move the coil around to adjust the ohms. I like mine around 1.45-1.47 anything higher than 1.5 doesn't give me enough vapor with my normal Grand. That's why I want to get a VVG soon lol.

My only other RBA was the Reomizer that Rob sells on his site. I loved that thing because it helped me learn the art of coil making, but I really like the Hornet. It's built real well and I actually like how the posts are close together because its easier to slip the coil legs into them much easier (at least for me).

Do you have experience with coil building on RBAs? If not there was a post where someone did a nice step by step with pictures.

Thanks guys, yes that is the method I'm gonna be trying with the exception that I'm gonna try Hildicats suggested rolled cotton for wick. Picked up a box at CVS for like $6. Would probably last several lifetimes! I have looked at so many pix of rebuilds but I couldn't find any (before Matt posted here) specific to hornet. I did watch an interesting YouTube video review of the hornet by an Asian girl. Not the most informative but interesting. You should check it out!
Thanks again for your help guys. Russ.
