So winter has started and unlucky enough I work outdoors with my Reo always equip, the last few really cold says my juice started thickening up and the magic squnking of the Reo is no longer working as it does not all drain back down the bottle, there is no clogs, just the cold juice is too thick!

I am thinking of getting some insulation wrap or something of the sort to wrap around my bottle to see if that helps any!

If anyone has any good iders of something I could use to keep the juice viscus enough to drain then it would be greatly appreciated! :vapor:

I'm a logger and have the same problem. I try to keep my Grand in a shirt pocket close to my body heat but sometimes that isn't enough. Its easy to burn up a cotton wick when you think you've squonked but haven't. I haven't had problems with the juice not draining back so much as not saturating my wick. Either way, it is a problem. I'll be watching to see if other Reonauts have any helpful hints. :)

Seems most of the Canadians are down here in my RV park or near me somewhere. You could always spend time as a snowbird.

Im wondering if a cast iron skillet insulated handle sleeve is big enough for a grand to fit in. Maybe you could find something like this (see pictures), it says the measurements are 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide. Or maybe get a glove and put the grand in it with one of those hand warmer packets.

I know they sound like goofy ideas, but they just might work. Let us know what you think, good luck guys.

I was thinking something like this!

They also have mini heat packs, the ones you shake up and put inside gloves/boots!

Ill Macgyver something crafty up!

I was thinking pretty much the same thing alone those lines using those hand warmers, just put the hand warmer and grand inside a ankle sock and stuff inside your pocket.

I would definitely recommend adding a drop of Everclear to the bottle. It will thin it down and add the extra no freezing value. I make my menthol with Everclear and menthol crystals and just add drops of it to my unflavored liquid. I sure hope some of these suggestions work. I wonder if using one of those little heat packs that last 10 hours or so would help? Good luck to you and I hope you find some solution to be able to squonk in the cold.

Mine might freeze but sand will never clog my RM2 air hole. I'm feelin' sorry for ya.:)

I keep mine in my top shirt pocket under my down coat and so far the juice flows fine.

we don't get a lot of real cold on the west coast here but the time I have spent in it and just my regular life outside all day this works real good or when thats not accessible due to extra clothing just having it an inner pocket is all it takes and I run 60% VG

Yeah I dont want to go to a higher PG, witch would probably help a bit!

I seen some thermal tape online that I might try out !

Ahhh, that basic flaw in the "want" verses "need" way of thinking thing again. ;) When you live in the frozen north you do what you gotta do... (I spent a little over half my life, around 35 years, in the deep snow frozen north).
