Do most vapers who are staying with one style of PV find it more cost effective to buy extra batteries and attys separately or just buy more "starter kits" which usually have 2 batteries and 2 attys and toss aside the extra chargers. It seems like it is a better deal to keep buying starter kits instead of $10 per battery and $8 for each atty. Kind of like buying a brand new printer each time your ink runs out-often buying a new printer with full ink cartridge is cheaper than buying just the ink and then you can donate the printers.

Chargers do fail. It's good to have a backup.

If you can find a kit for a good price, it's good to buy the kit instead of piece parts. In my case, I bought a 510 kit, then a month later bought the Ego kit. Past that point, I bought mega attys and various other types of attys to try and got those one at a time.

If you already have a 510 or similar ecig, the Ego kit is the obvious purchase. The attys in that kit fit the 510. You just need to know that the Ego charger can't be used to charge your 510 batts. It will burn them up. You can, however, use the 510 charger to charge Ego batts (with and adapter). It will just take a lot longer than the Ego charger.

I agree that purchasing a kit is a great idea. Even if you get one of the less expensive kits the second time. You are not having to pay shipping on the items when purchased one at a time as you go along. Most kits include a few carts/cartos also and they can always be refilled!

Depends... I hunt around for good deals. Sometimes Vaporkings or TotalyWicked have good 5 and 10 pack deals on batteries and atty's.

Sometimes I see a good deal on a kit and just buy that.
ecigmods was selling the 8084 starter kit for $13.99 ($15.99 now) that was cheaper then a replacement atty and battery(s) ($23.99)

I've done both. Starting to get a collection of 510 Chargers. But that's OK, I can charge more batteries at once. :p

With some respectable vendors here charging under $50 for a full Joye-made eGo kit we've stopped picking up parts and have ordered several full kits for the price of a few eGo batteries.

I like to stick to the ones other people have told me about. I have purchased from a lot of places.
I wont list the bad ones. And for juice I only tried a couple and have stuck to them.

Juice: Vaporkings, TotallyWicked, and Bluemistvaping. Like I said I only tried and stay'd with a few.

Kits/Parts: Vaporkings, Totallywicked, Gotvapes, Goodprophets, and even the china ones are pretty descent, but you will have a long shipping time. HealthCabin, heavengifts.

Those are pretty much who I stick with buying from.

I'm sure other forum members will add to the list....

A great vendor for eGo and/or Riva kits is Liberty-flights.com. cheap shipping and great prices. Be sure to click the 20% off banner on the top left of the page! They are based in the UK but have a facility that ships out of Cali so no worries about going through international customs if you order in the US. They are registered here on ECF and have their own forum section if you want to check them out. Really nice guys.

On topic: I haven't stuck with one set-up long enough to consider buying kits of what I already have. I got an over priced 510 kit to start then got an ego. Now I just got my Provari last week and this thing is AMAZING! Now that I have a mod I have no need for proprietary batteries. I already have a nice stock of atties, cartos, and cleromizers so other than juice I should be set on purchases for a long time. The beauty of Variable voltage is that I can make any of my atties/cartos/clearos vape like a champ!
