Hey, all.

It's been awhile since I've been around and now I'm thinking of jumping off into the world of sub box mods.

At first, I was almost convinced to go with the Kanger Subox Mini Kit. HOWEVER, I have heard a few reviews complaining of heavy battery drain on the 18650's. Also, I don't like the idea of paint inside my tank. Of course, I could replace the tank with something else but the heavy battery draw thing still bugs me.

After looking around the net some, I really like the Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro iSub G. However, the fixed battery concerns me on this one. How long does the 4500 mAh battery last for daily use?

Also, I don't have good luck with anything that has a fixed battery for more than 8 or 9 months. I can't count how many 1300 mAh eGo style batteries I have laying around that just won't hold a charge anymore. I don't want to drop $75 on this thing and it's junk less than a year after I buy it. Do these have battery memory on them? Say I stick it on the charger at night so it's ready to go the next day but it hasn't fully discharged. Am I going to lose vaping time?

For reference, I'm a chain vaper. If I'm not at work, my eCig is in my hand or I'm sleeping. So realistically, how long could I expect the Innokin to last both for daily use and total lifespan on the battery?

At least with the Kanger, it's cheaper to replace a few 18650s than buy a whole new unit every year.

hmmm, depends on your style of vaping.. What tank will you be vaping on it or are you after a whole new setup, tank and mod ?

If your not into nickel coils then personally it's still very hard to beat the Sigelei 100w plus mod or even the 150w with a nice Crown tank, fantastic vape !

Acutally, I was looking very closely at the Innokin iSub tank. Relatively inexpensive, I don't have to mess with rebuilding the heads and it gets fairly decent reviews.

I like that Sigelei. How is the battery drain on it?

I have been using Innokin products since I started almost two years ago. I have yet to have a battery go bad. My very oldest VV v3 is just starting to not hold a charge as long. I'm a chain vaping tootle puffer so it has spent most of the last two years either in use or being charged.
How long do your charges last? I'm going from 7 or 8 AM until 11 or 12 at night. I need something that will keep up or let me pack extra batteries to change it out.

Sigelei will last you all day but it very much depends on the wattage your firing it at. Lower the build, the less battery life.
Cool. You've gone a long way towards convincing me this is the way I need to go. The Innokin iSub tank runs around .2 ohms so I'm guessing I could get the better part of a day out of a set and maybe have to change them out once?

I have two of the MVP 3.0 Pro boxes coming from the trade forums when I get home Thursday. I really hate taking out batteries to charge them. I hate how boxes have the ability to charge the batteries in them but everyone ever says that its bad for you batteries. The MVP2 was by far my favorite mod even over my provari, and it still holds a charge.

I got two used ones for less than the price of one new one, along with some isub g tanks.

I hope to love them as much as my old MVPs!

I love my MVP 3 pro. I chain vape, lung hits, usually around 4-4.5 volts, 17-25 watts. I get 12-16 hours before I need to hook the MVP back up to the charging cable, though I also never let it get down to the red-light battery level. I think you could make it through a 16 hour day on one charge most days, but not always if you're literally never putting it down.

Course, it's a USB cable with pass-through technology, so if you're spending hours a day at a computer, that's only a problem if I guess you find it really annoying or something to vape while charging. And I guess if the advice that vaping while charging is harmful to the battery is true, though I've seen it said both ways, and FWIW Innokin swears there's no issue.

I have the invoking sub tank as does my husband. I got mine in July and in August it stopped running my tanks. in September this month my husbands stopped running HIS tanks. what I mean by that is everything SEEMED to by working correctly it just would not fire ANY OF MY TANKS. and I tried SEVERAL. it's almost like the 510 connection shifted or sank or something. at any rate, I have the ipv4s now. I've had GREAT success in the past with the original ipv, the 2nd and 3rd ipv, so I'm quite confident the 4s or 4th ipv will give me MUCH MORE time than the invoking did. not just mine but my husbands failed as well. his lasted two months mine one. :( I don't recommend them....

I imagine it would get me through the work day as I'm not constantly vaping there. (Although I wish I COULD be!) Days off might fall a little short because that's when I'm really hitting them hard.

I wouldn't use it as a pass-through since I don't ever plug them into the computer anyway. I find a compatible wall adapter because I don't trust USB ports enough to be charging devices. They don't always put out the right amount of power and it can be damaging to both the device and the computer.

I guess my main concern is how long is this thing going to hold a charge after multiple times on the charger? I want to get out of this cycle of having to buy new devices every few months because the internal battery gave up the ghost.

i would go with the mpv 3 pro . should last all day on a single charge. i see what you're saying about being able to change the batteries on some mods but who's going to say the mod itself would last longer than a year anyway. buttons wear out. i have an mpv 2 and its still working like new and had it nine months .

There's always a possibility of mod failure but I've had a lot more issues with dead batteries than I have broken buttons. I have an old school battery box mod that's over 4 years old and still works. I went through dozens of batteries but that thing still runs like a champ when it gets good fresh ones.

When somebody hits the 2 or 3 year mark with no problems on a fixed battery mod, I might be more comfortable with that but until then, I want to be able to change batteries.
