replacement for 900 mah pass thru battery suggestions?

My husband and I have been vaping for a couple months. We purchased ego style 900mah pass thru battery kits from nearby shop.

Husband wants an additional battery but the shop does not carry pass thru outside of a kit. Should we buy the standard style replacement & charger or should he be looking at variable voltage?

He likes the size of his current battery, doesn't want the fatter styles.

The standard style 900mah at the shop run $25.

Willing to spend more for something he will like equally or better (maybe double that?) but would need to understand the the benefits vs cost.
