Has anyone found anything like the T3 clearos that will work with the Volt batteries? I'm tired of needing to order replacement heads and finding them out of stock. I really like how these things work - they are just a part of my daily routine. I hate having to buy complete replacements when all I need are the heads. Is the manufacturer not able to produce them quickly enough or what?

Just for clarity, I'm not talking about the new Aspire stuff. I'm talking about the time-tested T3's.

They make a base for the T3 called the T3S that has a removable coil, so you can replace them. Search for 3TS and you may find them. I think they discontinued the T3 bases, so you may not be able to find those anymore. I love my T3s too.

I found these:

Yes, these are Kanger T3 bases, but from fasttech so I can't speak of their authenticity or quality.

I'm not sure the Kanger-type heads will work with the SI's X2 or Spinner batteries. I ordered a Kanger T3D and tried to screw it onto my X2 battery - no luck. I had to purchase a separate EVOD Twist battery to use it.

I'm probably going to move over to a Kanger lineup myself - replacement heads for a T3S are just much cheaper in the long run, anyway. Hopefully I can install Kanger's T3S heads in my SI T3 tanks and use those on an Ego/EVOD battery.

I know the Kanger T3s and T3S' fit on a Spinner for sure and eGos.

Holy cow, delayed response!

Thanks for the link! I'm going to do some research on this. I have a spinner, but I also have two of the regular X2's. If these fit on the spinner, they should also fit on the X2's.

Wait a minute - which one do I need? LOL There are several options on that page.

I have a bunch of the larger ones I don't think I'm going to use anymore, was thinking to put them on classified but if you're interested, pm me and I'll count them up and see how many I have...think it's 6 to 10 but don't remember and too lazy to dig them out atm LOL

moze, I'm pretty sure flowerpots was talking about the eGo/510 version of our SI batteries. If you have manuals, you can get 808-to-eGo adapters and use those heads. I do this all the time with EVODs, which SI doesn't carry.

For X2s, I like 1.8-2.2Ω. For Spinners, I like 2.2-2.4Ω. You could go 2.8Ω on the Spinner, but you'd probably have to dial it way up to max. Best bet for you though is to try to snag Esoterica's leftover heads, or upgrade altogether (like to the mini protank 3, also from FT! :p). They're gonna be increasingly hard to find, because the T3 has been through one or two revisions already, since those original ones with the fixed heads on bases came out.

Thanks! Thanks to you both.

I still have three heads, so that should last me a a few more weeks. I'm told that more T3 heads are on the way, but they haven't been notified of shipment yet. I'll hold off a little longer. If another couple of weeks go by and I still don't see any in stock, I'll look for alternatives. I prefer the minis, but will take the larger sized ones if it comes down to it.

Ugh - adapters. :) I don't really want to mess with that. I'll do just about anything when it comes down to it, but I'm not to that point yet. I was really just looking for the proper ohm ratings which you kindly provided. That will go a long way later on if I decide to go with alternatives. At some point I'm going to have to change/upgrade altogether if my supplier doesn't find a way to force their vendors to ship orders on a timely basis. :)

I think if SI has an issue with their vendors not shipping products that they and their customers expect, it may be worth slightly changing up the product line a bit. In this competitive industry, it shouldn't be that difficult to find a manufacturer that's willing to be a little more accommodating. Customers prefer to stick with the same vendors when it comes to this stuff, and will actually tolerate quite a bit before moving somewhere else. Perhaps I'm speaking for myself, but I come from a background where I know how this is. Unfortunately, all of these products come from overseas. It's difficult and becoming increasingly more so to extend arms across the ocean to smack these people in the head when they don't cooperate. LOL

Have you tried contacting CS to see if they even plan to get more of those heads? I thought they might've been discontinued when Kanger redid that line (they've made all their heads removable from the base). Maybe that's why they're having such a hard time with those. And keep in mind, those ohms were for SINGLE coil. Sorry, don't know jack about dual coil, but the numbers run lower, and I think SI recommends Spinners and MVPs with the Aspire stuff that they carry, just because I think they need to run a little hotter than what the X2s can put out. I've heard a lot of good things about the Volt Aspire Vivi Nova one. Good luck! :)

Yes - according to CS the heads are NOT discontinued. I'll just wait a bit to see what happens. I'm not buying new batteries until these die, so I may be buying adapters before it's all over. I like the X2s a lot.
