Before I switched to Provaris, I used Vamos. Because I'm a chain-vaper, the "fire" buttons would die after about three months. So I have a bunch of dead Vamos. Everything else about these is fine. It's just that the "fire" buttons are broken.

I'll bet a lot of other people have dead Vamos for the same reason.

I also understand Vamos are prone to threads stripping in the 510 connection.

So, does anyone make a replacement shell for the electronics, etc., with a replaceable "fire" button and new, durable 510 connection?

It's probably not the button that broke, but the tactile switch located underneath the button. Most Chinese APVs use these and they used cheap switches for planned obsolescence. Inquire at the sigelei Zmax V3 and V5 forum. Myself and some others have replaced our original Sigelei switches (which were better than the Vamo switches) with better switches rated for 1,000,000 clicks. If you know what switch you need they can be ordered from electronics supply houses for under a dollar apiece.

As for 510 threads on the Vamo: many were cheap plated brass that wore out quickly. The Sigeleis use stainless steel threads.
