I have 3 reo's with down with tubing that has picked up flavors. At least I think its in the tubing, tried cleaning various ways and I won't come out. I know Rob sells replacements, but I really want a larger supply on hand. USPlastics is out of stock on it. I can find 50 ft rolls, but that seems like a bit too much to get 8-o

The latest I have on it is 1/16" ID x 1/8" OD x 1/32" Wall Tygon® Sanitary Silicone Tubing

I did find DEHP-Free E-3603 Tygon® Laboratory Tubing | Component Supply. Sold by ft. However, its operating temp is 165 degrees instead of the 400 degrees for the tygon 3350.

Any ideas? If not, I will wait awhile until it comes back in stock. Bummer, since that is over half my reos. I really wish the tubing did not pick up flavors this easily.

i might be completely out in left field here but the tubing used in a Reo should never get anywhere near 165 degrees...i mean its all well below the heat source

That's pretty much what I was thinking as well. Other than the heat factor, the rest of the specs on this look about the same. It is food grade, FDA approved, etc.

This here has been one thing that I've wondered about when it comes to longevity and switching flavors. Getting flavors out of the bottles and/or tubing.....frankly I've never had any luck with that. Unless your a person that doesn't mind mixing....wouldn't it be best to have a bottle and tube per flavor (or at least similar flavor profiles)? Also...if switching out the tube for each bottle, would there be enough wear and tear (over extended time) on the tubing so that it no longer stays in place? Just curious.

This is why I only vape (1) liquid only and also why so many REO users have several devices in there collections....

you can use the tubing that you get with big syringes, I think its called spaghetti set or something, the inside diameter is a little bigger but works just fine here.. I will go get a picture for you :)

Back .. ok its this stuff Cream Supplies - Modern tools & ingredients for the creative chef but obviously you want to get it from somewhere closer to you

me personally I just mix flavours without cleaning.. I only change the cotton between flavours and if the coil gets lucky it might get a dry burn & a blow

That is a really good idea for anyone using a few flavors, but I switch flavors a lot. Usually have 15-20 different ones on hand and keeping all that straight would be a pain. Plus, I get a fair share of sampler's. I think I have about 8 10 ml bottles right now.

I have run Vodka or Everclear (PGA) through mine and it worked. Just put some in the bottle and squonk it all through the hose and out the connector. Also, take the o-ring out of the bottle cap and soak it, then let it dry. That o-ring holds old flavors worse than anything.

I have some Everclear and its just not enough. Even after soaking in it, the flavor is still there. I know its not the cap, clean them and even replaced one with no change. Some flavors are just stubborn I guess.

When I think about it this is the first time I have had this problem with a Reo I got from Rob. I got one off the classies and that was a disaster. But I have been using Reo's for about a year now and this is a new problem. It may just be time to replace the tubing since it may just be age and usage that is the problem.

I have a couple 10' rolls. I use white silicone tubing 1/16ID x 3/16OD, 1/16" wall. I think I got them off of Amazon, but can't really remember. Don't get the tygon, it caused auto feeding issues for me, the hose was a bit too rigid.

The tygon 3350 that Rob uses is not rigid.

This weekend I tore down one of my Reos with flavor issues. The problem is definitely the tubing. It was very discolored and I cannot get it cleaned out. Soaked it for hours in ever clear. I ended up ordering off of US Plastics. It is on back order but supposed to be back in stock on 5/1. This way I can change them anytime I have a problem.
