I have fair luck with the eGo-C atomizers, but once in a while, they start getting hard to draw through or draw fine but produce just a little vapor. I pull them apart and clean the coil and wick and do what I can to the old wick shape and placement, and sometimes this helps, but not always.

Being the cheap Scotsman I am, I hate to throw them away. I save them and use the wick assembly from burned-out coils on these problem assemblies. It'd just be so much easier to buy new wicks and put them in if they were already wrapped with that little mesh. I have seen those videos about making my own from rope and tea bags, and that's really too much work for the cost of new atomizers.

So anyone know of anyone that sells these pre-wrapped eGo-C A type wicks?

Thanks for any replies.

You can about 9 days out of them and then you can toss them. I wasn't having to many issues with the CE4 tanks that were provided with my eGo-C at first, but eventually I started having the dreaded leaking issue. I've recently upgraded to a Mini Vivi Nova tank and really enjoying it. Supposedly you can allot more life out of the wicks and a better vape. Vape is definitely better and the design is built like a brick shathouse compared to the CE4.

I've used iMist replacement wicks on my ego-C before and they work just fine. They already have the ss mesh wrapped around them. Maybe try and find a pack? I usually see a 5 pack for less then $4.

Do these need any adjustment other than trimming? Moving the mesh? Easy to insert?

Thanks for the reply. I'd never have found it due to the iMist name.

They're very easy to insert. I usually have to squish the mesh a little bit to make it a bit wider so it fits snug in the ego-C spike, but it works fine.

It's also real easy to make your own, if you pick up some silica wicks and a piece of mesh. Many vendors are carrying these now due to the rising popularity of RBAs.

But the iMist wicks should be less hassle.

Please believe me that I'm not lazy and do my own research, but I've been able to find silica rope that needs shredded, and I mentioned the tea bags for mesh, but I could find no vendors that sell just the wick or mesh. That rope stuff seems like way to much work. Some times you just have to have the right words before Google does it's magic.

Any links to people who sell the wick and mesh? I'm definitely going to try the iMist wicks. Those C things might be disposable, but so far, I've only lost one coil, and it's always been the wick that won't clean up so it's silly to throw away a good coil.

Thanks again. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks rebuilding them are a reasonable idea.

Hi Blackbeard,
I haven't used my ego-c much since July, but you got me thinking. I never did burn out a coil, but I did take the atty apart to better clean the wick and dry burn.
So, I took 2 wicks out yesterday and replaced them with cotton yarn. The one I wraped with the original mesh and the other, that im using now, I didn't use the mesh. I pulled the thick cotton yarn through with the wifes, now mine, needle threader. :toast: Day 2 and its good so far. I always did take one of the plastic "thingys" out of the mouthpiece for easier draw.
