Using the EGO-C Atomizer Head Without a Wick..

Hey there vapers! So long story short. I have an atomizer with no wick in it currently and I threw it into my EGO C after priming a couple drops on the coils. Inserted my tank and started vaping away. Its working great...hasn't flooded. Taste....smooth. But my concern is I haven't read anywhere of anyone doing this. Is there anything I should be aware of? Thank you a bunch!

I also have a cheap cleaomizer that I bought that looks kind of like a mini tank. Has a metal tube with a wick in it (maybe a CE2?). Anyhow, I was noticing a burnt taste and so when I opened it up the wick had burnt itself to the coil and stuck to it and pulled all the way out of the tube. Now frayed I wasnt able to get it back into the tube, but have been still using it without the wick and haven't seemed to have any flooding problems yet. Almost seems to be acting like a direct dripper now. I notice I can take a dry pull (without hitting power) and an air bubble will pop out, and then take a good haul. So I would think that as long as you don't dry pull too much you wont flood yourself.

Any update on this? I thought of doing this too but didn't want to have my precious e-juice leak all over the place. Would really be nice to get rid of that nasty wick. Do you find yourself having to prime the fluid meaning taking a few short draws before applying power to get the juice into the atty?

I'm going to try this with one of my old attys and some crap juice.

Yah....That was working pretty good for almost a day....Then it seemed to be draining alot quicker than normal and all of a sudden at one point...glug glug...and that was the end of that....epic fail and epic flood. Time to go and buy some better clearomizers....lol

I think the flooding is happening because of those two small side holes on the atty itself. When you put the cone on, you can see those little slits on the side. If you could find a small, thin metal washer that would fit between the atty and the cone, that might help. One thing I've learnt doing this, lay the ecig on its side when not using it. No epic flooding yet, but there is juice inside the cone that won't flow into those slits on each side. But man oh man, what a throat hit!!!

what are you guys doing to get this to work? when i took the wick out of my ego-c atty and coudln't get it back in, i tried using the atty anyways and i just get nasty nasty tasting hits....

is there any way to get the wick material from out of the inside of the coil itself? or do you not want to have a bare coil? how exactly does everyone prep their ego-c atty to make it work good?

It doesn't work krprice. Without the wick there's nothing to regulate the flow of juice so you WILL flood. Period. A wickless ego-c atty will NOT work with the tank. (Well it WILL work if what you're trying to do is make a huge mess

However......

All's not lost. Leave the spike plate off the atty & guess what?! Now you can DD your ego-c. 2 maybe 3 drops max at a time (no more than that) & either tailpipe the cone or use an empty tank as a mouthpiece.
