replacing my eGo v6 ASAP

I’m in a jam. Just broke my eGo v6 and I have no back up, so I need to get something new here right away. Hoping you all can help me make a very fast decision. (Tried to figure out which subforum my question belongs in, but I do not know the jargon term for the “everything that isn’t my Protank." Suggestions? Jargon?)

First, I’ll mention that I’m not very happy that my eGo v6 more or less fell apart on me under very light use for less than a month, so I’m interested in other brands that might prove more durable.

But I also want something that will work well with the four Kanger Protanks I’ve purchased.

The eGo v6 was a vv that I believe did 4, 5, and 6 volts, but I use 100% vg mainly tobacco flavors so it was almost always set on 4 volts.

I’d also like to cut my losses by finding something that would allow me to use the batteries and charger that came with the eGo: two pairs of blue Joyelife 750 mah (16340)

I would love some suggestions, including even sites where I can buy stuff RIGHT NOW, as I need to get this replaced asap or risk returning to tobacco. Thanks.

16340 is not all that common as a battery size any longer. Most devices fit 18350, 18350x2 or 18650. An occasional 18500 as well. I am not certain of the brand of battery or charger to tell you if it is worth buying a more expensive device to accommodate them or if you are better off replacing them if they are of lesser quality and not so safe to use for the long run.

If they are worth accommodating then look into telescopic mods I believe there are telescopic Sigelei and Kamrys that will work with those, um...a buzzpro...(but that one is expensive and requires battery stacking - which is not the most grand of ideas if at all avoidable) - thats all I got off the top of my head.

Good luck hinting and get a cheapo ego or 2 for 5$ each for backups!!! Backups for your backups backup :) Good rule of thumb.

Great suggestions all. I actually live outside Toledo and won’t be able to visit those shops, however tempting, but I know that I can probably get this thing working again with a radiator clamp or two, though it won’t be pretty. So that’ll solve my back up problem, sort of, though I like the wisdom of backing up my back up, too.

At the moment I’m choosing between these two options because I already have an account with these folks, but can’t tell whether they come with chargers, so I gather they don’t, but my eGo v6 came w/ a separate charger: remove batts and charge at wall socket. So trying to figure out if I need a charger for these in this link. And also still open to other ideas to use w/ my Protank/VG juice setup.

If the wire is still attached to the head of the V6 (I'm presuming this has come off) then you can epoxy it back on, if the wire has come off then ask a competent solderer guy to re solder it, the eGo V6 is one of my fave mods.

You know the clear plastic ring that lights up? All my plastic just fell out one day while using it!!! That left me w/ to posts connecting bottom part and top part (top part just 3/4 inch or so). The wire did come off, but I can solder it. The bigger problem is that w/out a reliable connection btw top and bottom pieces it won't work, and that casing resists solder. Maddening. I am good enough to solder the wire back on, but getting these two stupid pieces back together and grounding is going to take more than I'm up to. I already have a job!
