I remember someone had mentioned using candle wicks as replacements. has anyone tried this with success? Also I thought of using Zippo lighter wicks. Has this been tried?

Actually just had great success with teabag string. 5-6 bundled. Already sanitized. I happen to have access to loads of teabags though. That was enough to wick 6 kanger EVOD heads and a few replaceable ego c atomizers.
Be sure you boil any kind of other cotton wick several times,draining and replacing water in between. Waiting on hemp twine. The silica hype made me look for natural alternatives. Stainless worked well for me but, seemed to have negative effects on me.

Hi Dunlop, you may want to read through this thread. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...55501-different-cottons-different-wicks.html?. It's best to use products that have not been treated with any chemicals, waxes or oils and are 100% Natural/ Organic.
I am a new vaper, I also spin yarn and just found a cotton Gin close to me that I might be able to purchase organic cotton from. Maybe very interesting to try and spin myself some wick. But that is down the road a bit when I become much more DIY in this obsession!!!
