So it's been a while since I've had one of my first, and probably one of my most favorite vapes. Since I started DIY'ing, I really haven't used many pre-flavored e-liquids.

So I am setting off on a quest to replicate the flavor of Johnson Creek Black Cherry. I am getting pretty close. There is a roasted undertone, which I suspected was a type of coffee base, and I think I have it with the Professional Flavor Cappuccino. Then for the cherry note, I am using the Professional Flavor Black Cherry. I suspect I need some ethyl maltol drops added to it to sweeten it up, as I opt'd to use Professional Flavor Sweet Cream, and it wasn't the kind of sweet that I was looking for.

Once I get the mixture how I like it, and how I remember it (this will be the toughest challenge I suspect), I'll post the recipe.

I am however, interested to see how you all are faring on replicating your old favorites. Feel free to share your recipes, especially if we carry the products, I would like to give them a try :)

So I think I settled upon a decent copycat recipe for JC's Black Cherry. I'm sure I've lost some notes in the time it's been since I've had my last bottle (nearly a year now), but if you've tried the JC Black Cherry and are a fan of the flavor, give this recipe a shot.

JC Copycat Black Cherry 29mg
4ml 36mg 50/50 PG/VG Flavor-it-Yourself e-liquid
0.5ml PA Black Cherry
0.5ml PA Cappuccino

You get the roasted undertones that the JC liquids seem to be known for with the Cappuccino flavoring, and the Black Cherry seems to really bring it all together.
