I had a similar situation with my e-power, which I ordered from Hoosier. Crappy directions sent as well as the wrong switch, which they knew weeks before that the switches were bad. I'm still waiting on my new switch because days after promising to send it, I learned on a follow up call that he forgot to send it..

The whole process feels .like a comedy sketch..

Why don't you see if you can exchange it for a kgo?

...I've yet to see any directions for these things(ecigs in general) which have been manufactured overseas have any decent directions...have you every used a flashlite or an old fashioned transistor radio...while I don't know about eastern slobovia, the spring side of a battery compartment is always(except maybe in eastern slobovia) the negative side........

Funny you should mention that. I've been doing some research on the kgo and will likely purchase one within the next couple of weeks. It'll be nice to have a backup, though I'm not sure which I would use as a backup. Read a lot of great things about both.

I didn't think to ask about an exchange. At this point, I just want the entire transaction to be over as quickly as possible:)

Well the site say's Instruction manual tailored specifically to the e-Power with pertinent photographs of the unit, etc. the pv isn't marked + and - . If in fact it fries the switch if you install the battery wrong it might be a little important to point that out. Throw batteries in a flash light the wrong way it doesnt render it useless.

Alright smartypants!

I just had to charge a battery and I didn't know which side went where. I look for the little + and - pic. I forgot you're something of a flashlight collector!

...and my 4 lovely Riva kits in "presentation" boxes had a set of instructions printed small enough to need a microscope to read...and then they were for a different product...having bought and used waaaaay too many Chinese products, there are two things I have come to expect...poor instructions and poor quality control...with the way the world is headed, all I can say is...get used to it...............

p.s. by the way, the "flat" end of the batt is usually the - side and the pointy/button/nipple end is the + ...except maybe on the lower side of eastern slobovia.......mj

*EDIT* oppps, this p.s should have been under the #28 post above...darn buttons........mj

18650 batteries are flat on both sides go figure. basic switches and bulbs will work with the + and - in any dirrection

...not really...I have a box full of 18650 Trustfire flames...they are basically flat on both ends BUT there is a truly flat side and the other has a button in the middle of the flat...+/- in any direction...try that with LEDs and get back to me.........

Yep, sometimes an LED flashlight can just go (poof!) if the batteries are installed the wrong way.

I've seen some strange exotic LED flashlights and lasers that have been set up case positive: the opposite of most old style flashlights, I'll bet you have too, madjack.

These days it pays to know how the batteries are supposed to be installed before you try it.

My E-Power 14650 is standard case-negative. I was shipped with one battery in the tube so I had a good example to follow. The switch had a plastic clip over it to prevent power-up during shipping.

...yes I have...I even had an old Anglica growing up that had frame positive on it...that caused some interesting problems hooking up the ol' 8 track and a CBradio..............
