Hey ECF I have been vaping for a long time now my current daily vape is a mech with my tobh atty running a 24 gauge triple parrel build at the moment. I am looking to get myself something for christmas =D as of now I only have mech's and a old Provari 2. I am interested in getting a box mod but I have a few questions one of my questions is what is the difference between a series or parallel battery box mod.

I am looking to get a dual 18650 mod. If im understanding correctly the series will give me double the voltage? while parallel will give me double the battery life?

I generally build low ohm builds. Just wondering if there is anything I should know and if anyone knows a good online seller.

Also what are peoples thoughts on a unregulated box like this vs a DNA30 device?

Thanks!

First, I would recommend parallel only. It causes the batteries to run side by side allowing for twice the amperage (safer for sub ohm builds) and twice the maH (twice the battery life) Running in series creates double voltage but it's much more unsafe since you're essentially "stacking" the batteries creating stress on one more than the other. With that being noted, always keep your batteries paired in the charger and the mod you plan to use to make sure there is a consistent battery life decrease with the two.

In regards to your question about a seller, I recently bought my first unregulated box mod. When I was searching, I kept running into the problem of most mods being unable to handle fairly low subohm builds due to the wiring on the inside not being able to handle the load. I eventually came across an ebay seller by the name of oldiesbutgoldies4u with the specs for the electrical work that I was looking for. The woods he used on the mods weren't exactly what I wanted but I contacted him and he was more than gracious to build a custom mod for me. I ended up going with a dual 26650 mod with purpleheart on the sides and burl maple for the two side panels. You can choose between dual 18650, dual 26650, or triple 18650. He also gave me a recommendation to various wood suppliers on ebay so that I could pick exactly the type and grain of wood I wanted so I knew exactly what I was getting, which after I told him, he purchased himself (included with your price quote).

I can't recommend him highly enough. The mod was beautifully done, solidly built, and reasonably priced. He was very courteous and informative, including regularly emailing me "work in progress" photos as he went along. It took under a week of emails to discuss what I was looking for, about a week for him to make it, and about 4 days for shipping.

I was looking for a custom at home all day vape with the quality and personal touch of a professional woodworker and he definitely delivered. His contact info is oldiesbutgoldies4u on ebay and his name and email is Terry Pierce cleverhillbilly@yahoo.com.

Hope I've been of some help and vape on!!

1: Reputable unregulated box mod makers:
REO comes immediately to mind!
Go to the REOVILLE right here on ecf.
It puts you drip bottle in the box next to the battery so you can drink with one hand!
You can Drip and drive.

2: Series batteries: the batteries are connected negative to positive like in a flashlight.
In a box mod you will see the batteries side by side but one is upside down next to the other.
Parallel batteries: the batteries are connected negative to negative and positive to positive.
In a box mod you will see the batteries side by side pointing the same way.

3: Yes in series the batteries are stacked and output double voltage.
In parallel the two batteries can output double the current compared to 1 battery.
In both cases, you double battery life.

4: unregulated box mod vs a regulated box mod:
All the regulated box mods I have seen so far use stacked batteries.
The only box mods I have seen using a parallel configuration are unregulated.

Here's an example from fasttech of a wooden box mod which uses parallel batteries; one of the interesting things about parallel batts is if your single batt can handle the load and one of your batteries is dead or has a problem, you just take out the dead batt and run on one batt, no problemo.

Sup bro! Ur case were same with me! I was looking for dual 26650 box mod. U can check my post and thread regarding reputable and good makers of box mod. If u r looking for 18650 box mod makers, there are tons of them and most of them are good. But i was looking for dual 26650 makers. For 26650, there are brick house box mod, vapeheadz (the best price!), unlimited modz. So far, those were well known box mod. Nazy box mod also quite famous. Hope helps bro.

I ended up contacting one conspiracy mods resellers and I have a dual 18650 for hold on me. The company even went the extra mile and said if the mod isn't available when I get paid (as I was looking to purchase in a few days) he said he would send me his personal conspiracy box some amazing customer service!!
