I need to purchase either the New Protege or the Prodigy V2. The end user is a cigar smoker. Since I've never smoked a cigar, I don't know what is important in terms of vapor temperature and smoke volume, but I'm guessing that both must be pretty substantial.

The back end of this story is that the end user is my husband and I am soooo happy!!

I have determined that people who are around vapers don't swap over to vaping right away but instead they wait and watch. When they finally realize that several months have passed and that the vaper hasn't been tempted even once to grab an analog, not even for old time's sake --that's when they are sold and must have one of these cryogenically cool devices. ;)

I have been playing around making different ejuices for him to sample on my PS USB PT and he has been satisfied with the performance of that device. Hope that info helps you to help me.

I'm not getting him a PS USB PT because he doesn't want to be tether to a plug to vape and I completely understand.

Thank you for your time and opinions.

I went through a cigar phase at one point, and even though it isn't usually customary to completely inhale the cigar, as I was young and stupid I did. I also deluded myself that I could quit smoking off of them.

I also switched to the Djarum "cigar" version after the flavor ban, which hit a bit harder than regular smokes.

I remember the smoke being much heavier and warmer with a LOT more intense flavor. Although I am not an experienced vaper, I can say as a cigar smoker, they hit HARD HARD HARD in the throat and lungs.

So much so that I eventually went back to regular smokes.

Based on that and your knowledge (or others of PV's) I hope that is worth some help.

Wafflestomper, secret26x,

Which ones do you have and what flavor(s) do you vape?

Mine is still on the way, which is why I didn't offer any suggestions. Just wanted to give you insight as to the feel of cigar smoking in case it helped you make a comparison.

I got a 5v passthrough, but not the one from puresmoker. i vape 18 mg redbull, cappuccino, mild seven, raspberry, strawberry kiwi, and menthol, but again, they are not from puresmoker. 18mg at 5v is perfect for me, but to my cigarette smoking friends they say it is way too harsh. i kind of screwed myself over by starting on 36 mg at 3.7v I forced myself to get used to the harshness :(

however a prodigy v2 is on its way should be here today or tomorrow. I cry if it doesn't come today

Former cigar smoker--smoked them everyday for 15 years... I inhaled all my cigars.
Big ring guages about 1 a day.. smaller cigars .. about 20 a day..all non filtered.

Cigarettes were like air I don't care what kind ..stopped smoking those around '98.
I recently started vaping last week and while it is a difference , I've smoked maybe a total of 2 smaller cigs since. (I have been blowing my chest out though, hitting it hard), but now at least the cigs taste nasty so I'm on my way to quitting.

High volt device definitely for him and I personally like the 801 atty. Juice I'm not so sure, he'll have to "test the waters" to see what he likes. I like at least 24mg of nic.

Best of luck
