Dear Smokey Joe,

Last night I tried to get on this forum after a busy day of not having done so. Had to get my fix you know. Much to my dismay I was unable to connect! I looked at a few other forums but they are not near as nice as this one or friendly looking. I was actually bumming about this proving I am addicted to this just like ecigs. I actually had to go do something else! God forbid. So, in the future when you must do something important to this site to keep it functioning for our pleasure, will you please call me and find out when I will be in bed & do the required maintenace while I'm sleeping so my little happy boat won't get capsized? This will help the east coast people also cause they're already in bed when I hit the hay so all will be well. Thank you so much for your consideration on this.

LOL gep. Really, Joe, you must remember you have created another drug for us addiction oriented people and we go into serious withdrawals when it is not available. So, you must call all of us and let us know in advance of any more impending shutdowns. The mental health of your members is at stake here!

Amen to that! I was looking at other forums to find out what happened to this one. God forbid I should go a day with out at least an hour or two on here. I was starting to get a little panicky. Thanks for being up this morning!

I now bring my laptop to work and tehter it to my iphone so I can get on during the day. (My company blocks all forum/bulliten board sites )

What's a body to do on a Sunday when this forum is unavailable? I personally vaped more than normal; almost out o' juice as a result

Sorry about yesterday - I did some work on the server to try to get the forum firing on all cylanders. It looked pretty good so I went to bed. When I woke up this morning I had 600 emails.....

....not from members, from the automated error system!

Anyway, all running fine now, touch wood. Anyone notice any performance increase? Faster loading pages?

I, too am a forum addict. I now only sleep about 4 hours before going to work because this "hobby" of mine has become a full time obsession. I did get started on some modding though while refreshing every two minutes for hours trying to get the forum.

Faster loading pages? Well definitely faster than yesterday. I'll have to cruise around some more to see if it is faster than Saturday. You really have done a great job growing this forum, SJ. We don't know how to live without you and ECF.

EDIT: Pages are definitely loading faster. It was worth the down time. I do wish I had known ahead of time though, I was half worried we had crashed again since when I did manage to get anything of ECF I got the server too busy message from vbulletin. Thanks for the explanation, I can put my ECF apocolypse theory to bed now.

Smokey-it's a good thing we don't have your email address. Can you imagine how many emails you would've had this morning when you got up. Would've made that 600 look like a blink! LOL

PS What IS your email BTW? We can't have this happen again. Better yet just give us your home phone. That way we can call and wake you up and let you know when our addiction is broken. LOL
