I'm becoming an ex-smoker... funny

My DH was supposed to switch from smoking to vaping with me, but didn't make it. Now, when he comes to bed after his last cigarette at night, it's like an ashtray crawled into bed with me. I'm trying not to be one of "those" ex-smokers, but it smells just awful!

So, I bought this little spray bottle of Febreze, which I spray on him as he's getting into bed. Crazy, but it actually works really well.... in case anyone else is in that boat. lol

its just a fact of quitting, your sense of smell comes back and you realize... i smelled like that? all the time?

I hope both you & your husband can get and/or stay on the vape bandwagon. Good luck. I think that getting sprayed every night may give him inspiration to try vaping again.

I'm in the same boat...it's amazing to think that I smelled like that...come to think of it, I didn't know what I smelled like before, so god only knows what I smell like now...
She doesn't want to switch to vaping though, I don't want to be a hypocrite, so I don't say anything .

I'm so glad I don't have to smell that anymore! Aside from breathing SO much better now, I think NOT smelling like cigarettes is one of my favorite things about being a vaper instead. And it tastes sooooo great!

I hit Like because it made me laugh. And also because I realize I no longer smell like that and am no longer in danger of being Febreeze doused.

I think the visual of you spraying your husband with Febreeze is hysterical. My boyfriend and I quit together, so we didn't have to spray each other! I totally understand the "former smoker" mentality now though...the smell of cigarette smoke is so off-putting to me now, thankfully.

Hey Kwitter - welcome from a fellow St. Louisan!! I know what you mean about your sense of smell...its so crazy to be able to smell a smoker coming in the door at work! And I'm single but live with my sister who is a smoker. I have tried EVERYTHING to get her to vape - to no avail...I could not live without my Febreeze...and I don't care if its 17 degrees outside...I always have to have a window open...I can't STAND that smell anymore and I'm so glad I no longer smell like that!
