That will vary from person to person, of course. Many vapers find 6 to 8 watts to be the sweet spot.

Watts can be calculated using this formula: Watts = Volts X Volts / Ohms ... or simply by plugging the volts and ohms values into this online calculator. [NOTE: That calculator will also tell you the amps current, which can shorten the life of atomizers and batteries. Try to keep the amps as low as possible. My rule of thumb is under 2.0 amps.]

For example, on 5V, a 4.2 ohm atty/carto will put out 6 watts (and only 1.2 amps) ... 3.1 ohms will generate 8 watts and 1.6 amps. So: try atomizers or cartomizers between 3 and 4.5 ohms and see what you like best.

BTW, dual coil cartomizers usually are claimed to be ~1.5 ohms. They are not. Many of us find them to be disappointing on a 3.2V eGo, OK on true 3.7V, and wonderful at around 4.5V. Some love them on 5V. And, for determining amps current, the 3.4 ohms of each coil is the relevant factor.

I find that a 2 ohm dual coil carto works fantastic at 5v. 2.5 may be a little light if you like a nice warm vape with lots of vapor so it depends on your personal taste. I find some I talk to say that 2.0 dual coils are a little warm, but I love them.

I also think that 3.2 ohm single coil (or an atty) is a good sweet spot if you like warm vapor and a bit better throat hit.

This is from my experience.

Cheers
