My husband and I have always had slightly misaligned timing when it came to giving up smoking 100%. This time, I got sneaky-- I told him that I wanted to go get another PV and asked him to come with me into the store. He insisted that he didn't want one. Then I got him to try flavor after flavor, picked out my favorites and bought two PVs (CE4's with eGo-T batteries.) He just sort of made off with the 2nd one (which I would have happily kept btw) and the Rockstar flavored e-juice.

The next day he took me back to the shop so we could pick up extra batteries (and more e-juice.)

It's been three days and he's down from 30 cigarettes to 7 yesterday.

Good work. I just got off the phone with a brother. I set him up on Christmas day. He's reacting the same way I did after a week, smoking just 4 cigs a day with no will power involved. I'm advising him the same as I told myself a few months ago. Don't fret about those few cigarettes right now. Learn how to vape and build confidence. Sofarsogood.

Yay for you. What a good plan and I am glad that it worked. Keep the curiosity peaked and have him try new juices and different toppers and you both will get bitten with by the vaping bug. You may get so busy trying new things and learning building coils, etc. that you both forget you are not smoking.

Happy New Year!

I'm grateful the vaping world goes beyond disposable cigs and CE4 tanks.
I'm just getting started, and I think the future for me is going to be very enjoyable.

No doubt. I would have been 100% off the smoke back in 2009 had I just been able to stay stocked up and 109 batteries lived just a little longer, but it's so easy to relapse between e-juice orders and dead batteries when there's still another smoker in the house. Now that the husband has been assimilated (and we have a couple of local options for more than minis) I think it's going to be a lot easier for both of us.

Great! Now I have to figure out how to do the same for my wife. She still refuses to go with me when I go to any of the local vape shops. She will eventually, just not yet... Need to get sneaky, I guess.
