Resistance on 316l will not stabilize

I'm trying to do my first TC build to try it on my IPV5 and I got some SS 316l and it doesn't matter which rda or RTDA I put my build in the resistance in power mode jumps all over the place.

It's a 0.45 ohm build but as I pulse it it goes to 0.55 up to 0.67.

Is this normal? I've checked everything. Screws, shorts and so on.

The resistance of ss wire changes as the temp increases. Perfectly normal.

In power mode it will change. In tc mode you will have to lock the resistance. Dunno about the ipv5 but with the ipv3 li you lock the resistance by pressing the plus and negative buttons. Make sure it''s at room temperature before locking it though.

It should increase in resistance as it heats up- this is why it can be used for temp control.

You can lock the initial resistance, although it will vape fine unlocked.

Ok makes sense.

I'm using it in temp mode now but getting a really weird taste for some reason.

Still new to trying temp mode but right now don't know a good temp range of joule range for heat up.

I use it in power and you will get some drift in resistance. I prefer it in power of TL, it produces better flavor and the drift won't roast you cotton. I use contact coils and don't get nearly the shift you are describing and it runs great on my IPV5.

I believe I was using 30 joules with an ipv. Think of joules as watts and you will be close.
