Resistors with regulator?

Hey Hoog,

What are the 2 little resistors that come in the bag with your regulators for?

Are they for the control pin bleed off? As I see all drawings call for a 470 ohm resistor there.

They're used to tie the control pin to ground and to not have a direct short to ground when you apply power to the pin.. If the control pin floats the results may be unpredicatable..

Interesting, do all regulators come with these? Because I just got an order last week for the 3A 5V regulator and didn't see any of those. But I did get some resisters also and since I didn't count perhaps there were more than I ordered.
