In many (Most?) aspects today, the Media does Not Report the News. They Make/Invent the News. For the purpose of Financial and or Political gain.
I grew up thinking a free media was what separated us from China and Russia.
But a bought and paid for media winds up being quite similar in function.

Thank God for the internet.

Very True.

The Big Problem in my mind is do people Understand that what they are Seeing in the Mainstream Media might not be Entirely True? Or that it May be True in Context, but Not in Totality?

I mean, if I'm standing inline at the Supermarket, and some Tabloid has a 72pt Headline that a Study shows that e-Cigarettes are worse than Smoking, most Reasonable people would discount it given the Source.

But if some Talking Head on CNN or some Lingerie Model on FoxNews said the same thing, would people Except this to be a Fact?
