While it may not be smoking, an employee vaping while working in a restaurant setting isn't the image I'd want my workers portraying. That's why employees get breaks.

Educating the show about vaping is good. Flooding the comments with inane comments like "you don't know jack" does nothing to help the cause. And when it comes down to the bottom line, Willie was right in bringing it to the owner's attention.

He may have been right in bringing it to the owners attention but was ENTIRELY wrong in his choice of words. Vaping isnt smoking and its ignorant comments like his and Rachel Rays that unfortunately play a large part in public perception.

As far as telling him he doesnt know "Jack", Im sure even Canadians have heard of figures of speech. It was never meant to be taken literally. He happens to own a chain of restaurants called Uncle Jacks Steakhouse so it was a play on words as well.

Guess you mustve missed that episode :)

vaping in the military is also considered smoking, and as such, you still need to exit any building and head to the smoke pit. doesnt stop me from keeping a mini ego with some flavorless, and sneaking a few tokes whist taking a leak or the "other" thing... actually, my coworkers dont mind if i vape at the shop, so until someone says something directly to me, ill keep doing it, with the knowledge that i really am not supposed to be doing indoors...it never happened until i get caught right?..haha

This guy is just another blow hard. For starters Im capable of forming an opinion of my own threw observation and experience. These types of people are popping up everywhere. I do not find them entertaining or helpful. I find them critical and annoying.

As an ex bartender of 20 years the show appears to be fake any way. Ive seen servers go to a table and do things that they would get fired for in any decent restaurant and he never says a word. Stuff that should be obvious to anyone with experience in the restaurant business like servers taking food and drink orders all at once (big no-no unless you work at Cracker Barrel and considered VERY rude because youre rushing the guests) or asking a guest "What do you want to to drink?" instead of suggesting one.

Only reason I watch the show sometimes is because I find it comical.

1. I'm not Canadian.
2. I don't watch TV
3. People aren't going to think that it's a play on words when you say "You don't know jack". Another phrase is going to immediately spring to mind. The assumption is going to be that you're referring to the "Schmidt" family.

1. You Avatar says Canada so most will assume you are Canadian
2. Good for you
3. I could be mistaken but is that not what a play on words is?.........

I didn't see the episode, but was it a Ciga-like? As a restaurant patron, and a vaper, I would not like to see a restaurant employee vaping, and or doing other things while in the vicinity of my food or anyone elses. If it is a ciga-like, it can be seen as looking like the employee is smoking a real cigarette. So he had a right to be upset. But since I didn't see the episode, I don't know the exact content of the situation. Telling people to blindly go and berate someone without knowing the whole story is pretty lame.

While it is appreciated that you brought this to light, you shouldn't tell people to go do anything without letting them formulate their own opinions on the matter first. Maybe post up some link to the footage and let everyone make up their own mind.

Since I didnt post a video its assumed one would have sense enough to look it up the show in question before formulating an opinion or making a reply.

Your attempts at character assassination notwithstanding, it really isnt that hard to do a little research on your own

In the clip in question the employees are out of the line of sight of customers and the employee is demonstrating how her cig-alike works. Thats when Degle makes his ignorant and misinformed comments about e-cigs as if they are facts and not simply his opinions.

Wow guess nobody agrees with you zapped;-) Its ok to be a .... and make a fake show and bash ecigs on your fake show. How dare you raise such an issue! This is your warning next time you will be boiled in hot juice! Or set in a room with your favorite juice and a atty and a mod with 3.3 volts of power for 24 hrs!
