Returning my Blu cigs. What should I replace them with?

I recently received my first e-cig starter kit from Blu E-Cigs. Annoyed that it took nearly six weeks to arrive, but that's neither here nor there at this point. There's a lot I really like about the Blu cigs, but ultimately the smoking experience is underwhelming. :nah: My first puff or two on a cart is nice, but then the amount of vapor rapidly falls off to nothing. The inconsistency has me unsure when I'm going to get a nice mouthful of vapor or when I'm going to just get a bunch of hot air, so I'm going to try to take advantage of their 30-day money-back guarantee and return them.

What would be a good replacement? What I liked about Blu and would want in a replacement:

-Looks like a cigarette (Standing out a little, like with the Blu's blue LED tip, is okay, but I really don't want to be puffing on some sort of geeky-looking metallic contraption when I go out)

-Solid and sexy-looking charging-case, with room for a full second battery and atomizer, and a handful of cartridges (I like the idea that if someone asks me about my e-cig, I could assemble a second one so they can join me. And space for extra carts means I can bring along several different flavors or nicotine strengths)

-Flavored carts (Maybe at some point I'll get into filling my own e-liquid, but the Blu carts were pretty cheap, if their claim of being equivalent to 25 cigs is true. I rather liked their variety carton with five cartridges each of five different flavors)

What do you guys think? What's a good e-cig for my needs, and where should I order it from?

Sounds like you are a candidate for a 510 with a PCC.

I would recommend getting it from Widows Bead Work - Home My wife has 7 of these and they are very good.

I would also recommend getting past the "it needs to look like a cig" mentality. you are eliminating a lot of devices that will knock your socks off with batts that last 2-10 times as long................

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance and reliabilty. If you continue to vape, performance will become more important than looks. At this point in your brief vaping experience the closes you can get to one that looks like an analog and still performs well (other than the battery life - sucks) is the 510.

Listen, that last guy has never tried a 901 obviously.
THe 510 is the will provide the strongest throat hit. But, the 901 hit, is just a little less. And the 901 definitely is the closet to normal looking with the standard white color.
I have experience in providing 901s and 510s, and cusomers seem to like the 901 better usually. The hit is a little smoother. The 510 chokes most users at first. IF u need it real, real strong go with the 510, but remember it has the manual button on it.
The 901 doesnt have that, so it looks like a real cig. At least close. Plus, the 901 has a better battery life, and it not hard to unscrew it a little when u arent using it. Dont get me wrong, I use both. But the 510 seems to go through juice quicker. To be honest, the only difference is the little more vape u get out of a 510, the derives, from the fact, it has 2 holes, in the threading of the atomizer instead of 1 that the 901 has. For overall smooth hit, and longer battery life go, DSE 901. For strongest hit, 510. NOTE, the 901 provides a strong hit itself, that u will be happy with too. Id get one of each to be honest.

I would only recommend a 901 if you get manual sealed batts for it. Otherwise the 510 all the way.

Vaporich, are you a supplier? If so, you need to register as such with SJ even if not a sponsor.

The 510 is nice if you need the extra throat hit. But it has some flaws. Battery life, juice hog, juice taste, etc.

I would suggest a Janty Stick. Or 901, 801, or Kissbox if you must have one that looks like a cig. All have manual switch options. All have better battery life than the 510. And the 801 and Kiss hold more liquid. They provide a better taste along with a smoother hit. And the Kissbox has a great warranty.

I am enticed by the fact that everyone is so adamant on the 510 so consensus rules the 510 is great. I have never tried it. And I might one day, but I have been using the RN4081. It's called the Super mini. I love the fact it hits hard, holds great flavor, and looks like a real analog. Blu's model is not the RN4081. It's something else which I forget.

Anyhow, I'd do with the RN4081 because it sounds like you want the same thing as I did and still do.

The problem is that NO e-cig compares to the Blu as far as its packaging. Damn I wish every brand made that kick-.... charging case.

I started out by trying to order a Blu, but they stopped taking orders and I was redirected to Luci. Same exact thing... but again, no great charging pack.

Decent, but not much vapor really. I needed more volume. So by doing a LOT of research and asking here.. I decided on a 510. I ordered the 510, a ton of flavored carts, and a PCC.

I like the 510 more, and now it is working better than the day it delivered, so I'm satisfied. Still not as small (cig-like) as the Blu or Luci, but not that big either. But the PCC irritates me. They design a charging case that can't hold an assembled e-cig, and drains your battery if you leave the bat in after it's fully charged.. and if you flip the bat upside down, it doesn't fit really well.

The PCC is stupid. Odd shape, doesn't hold an assembled unit, and only 2 carts. Crap, so now I have to find a way to carry around my e-cig, this weird long metal case, and hope my 2 plus 1 cart supply is enough for the day. I want a Blu-like PCC!!! I am a smoker, I want what I'm used to... I wanna carry around a similar sized pack and have it hold an assembled e-cig, backup battery, 3-5 carts an an atomizer. Hell, when I'm driving I have NO WHERE to put my e-cig!

So no... no one offers anything close to the convenience of the Blu. But then again, the Blu sucks when you use it, so you have to weigh your priorities here. I like the vaping of my 510 so I deal with it not being too convenient. You'll get a TON more vapor from the 510 than any of the smaller e-cigs like the Blu units.

I have never had a problem with any of my auto 901 batts. do u know of a problem with them in the past. THe new ones I have tried have been working great. ALso, I have emailed sj plenty of times, to try to get registry with him. I am waiting for a response from him, is he on vaca. or something? I would really like to speak with him.
Nothing personal, the 510s great. i agree with you, just trying to let him know that the 901 is a very acceptable model also. Both are great, just depends on the strength of hit u like. To be honest, most people I let try the 510, they think its to strong. Wimps, I like the strength of it, with the 36mg. juice. Both models are nice, just the one has a better lasting battery length.

You are not being forthright since you fail to mention that you cannot drip with an auto 901 and that if any juice gets in the battery compartment (which it will) you will be gumming up the auto switch. And you obviously have no experience with PV's that give real throat hit and long battery life such as the Janty Stick, the Prodigy or the GG.
