Hey guys.
I recently purchased a reuleaux and waiting for its arrival. Currently an all mech user so this is going to be a bit of a switch up for me. Wanted to ask some of the escribe users a few questions so I could get right to using this amazing looking device.
Number one does escribe need to recognize a device to even download? Thinking I can downlaod escribe now and try to play around/ familiarize myself with it before getting the device in a few weeks? Once I get the hang of operating it and save all my settings then just upload them to the board when I receive it?
And secondly being a non lipo dna device I'm curious about some issues people have been having with battery life due to improper watt hours being set in escribe.
How does this work with 3 18650s in series?
My mech days would, I believe point me in the wrong direction of what I would input into escribe. Are 3 18650 in series the watt hours of 1 single 650 or ??? Not really familiar with the calculation or how the board will process this.
If anyone could help me with that calculation I'll be using 3 vct4s ?
Thank you to anyone who can give me a hand with these answers and maybe we can all learn some fun escribe stuff from those who have ventured in already.

You can walk through Escribe with its default Evolv settings without a connected device. Once a device has been connected, the device settings will be downloaded and displayed within EScribe. Wismec may have already included updated mod settings so it may be best to leave those particular options untouched for now. Feel free to modify the profiles. Batteries are best handled by way of uploading discharge curves specific to your cells. Best bet is to create your own curve (via EScribe) using the cells you intend to use with the device.

Thanks a bunch sig. I found the DNA 200 form over at evolvs site and learned a ton already. Any one interested in learning more should def check that form out.
Also an increasing # of folks posting up their battery curves over there to save from running your own analyzer. Seems like the watt hours are going to rack up pretty good with the 3 650's.

Download the new escribe settings file from wismec's site, optimized for VCT4/reuleaux.
It really isn't though. 7 of us with Reuleaux's did the case analyser and found their numbers to be way off. Every one of these devices are different in the case thermal properties. I think Wismec did their tests with their mod sitting on it's side so all the airflow holes were unobstructed. That's not going to be the case when you are using the mod. Only way to get your battery meter accurate is to do the battery analyser. We found some fairly significant inconsistencies with batteries. We all ran the battery analyser for 6 different sets of batteries and we all came up with different results that were fairly significant from the lowest to the highest with each set.
Honestly, just take the time to go through those two analysers.

Is there a thermal analyzer that your referring to as well? If so does it run in junction with the battery analyzer? Or is it metereing thermal from the board or atty?

All the analyzing, isn't this done only to get a clear and accurate reading on the battery indicator?
I haven't done any of it and when the indicator shows 5%, the batteries are around 3.5~3.6v, this after more than a day of chain vaping.

Have to admit I only use kanthal/power mode, and haven't been digging in the use of temp control and all that is required to use it properly
