I changed the drip tip almost immediately. I didn't like it either. I was never a fan of lung inhales either because they burned my throat. I only do short lung inhales on the RDTAs and don't have a problem with that. I've actually graduated from having the airflow half open to fully open. I forgot the post base even unscrewed. I've been using mine the way it came and the alignment seems okay.

I have not had any leakage whatsoever on the Revel and only occasionally on the Pontus when the wick becomes over saturated partially due to some auto dripping. I use rayon for wicking and it seems to suit the RDTAs well. I much prefer the plunger on the Revel since it's much easier and smoother to press. I just wish I could fill it like the Pontus.

I hadn't seen the Tatroe T2 before but it sure is pricey. Have you considered the Big Dripper? I heard a lot of rave reviews about that one but I prefer to be able to see my juice levels. I am also surprised there aren't many more models of RTDAs to choose from. It seems like the way to go.

The leaking is more of an issue from the tank when left alone overnight, but it doesn't always happen. leaking from the chamber is easily controlled by using enough cotton.

I have a Big Dripper clone, but i don't like it. It doesn't have a window (some now do, but I don't do plastic tanks), it's a pain to fill, and it's a pain to build with the hex screws and the posts that sit below the edge of the deck. On top of that, it doesn't drip well with thick juice -- especially when the tank gets past the half way point.

I wouldn't mind paying for the Tatroe T2 since it's not a clone, but again, they didn't return a simple inquiry about the DNAsty 40 so I don't trust ordering from them. Also, I'm not so sure about the twist action it uses instead of the pump action in the Pontus, Revel, and Big Dripper.

I still don't have much to say in the way of complaints about mine. It's pretty much all I've used since I've gotten it. Day one .7 build still going strong and it's my easiest all day vaping option at the moment. Parts still seem like new and nothing worries me in it's longevity. I get juice out the air holes a little, it is a dripper after all, but I don't have any leaking from the tank or anything like that.

I'm still enjoying my Revel and my Pontus. The KFL+ clones are gathering dust. The only time I get a bit of leakage through the holes is when I over drip, more so on the Pontus since it tends to auto drip. I plan to get another Revel and maybe another Pontus since I love how easy that one is to fill.

I got the revel yesterday, and built it today. So far, I am really liking my Revel. No leaking for me unless I over drip, and no auto dripping even at 70 pg/30 vg. I was a little disappointed in the flavor until I read this thread, and changed the drip tip. Now I love it.

I like the window, both for looks and to see how much juice I have left, and like that it's glass. I prefer the Revel to the Big Dripper. I never had the Pontus, but do have a 3D which is a piece of junk compared to this or the Big Dripper.

I built it with dual 36 ga kanthal coils at .06 wicked with rayon, and am experimenting with watts on my E-Mech.

Where did you (or anyone else) by yours? I did NOT get one for Christmas, so I am looking around myself.

I dropped my Revel :( The Revel is fine, but it had a brass drip tip with a glass bottom. The glass bottom of the DT broke off leaving the bottom piece stuck inside the revel and I can't get it out. Does anyone know how to get the top part of the Revel apart so I can push the drip tip out from the inside??? TIA

Mine is in use and full of juice right now so I can't look, but I believe there are 2 little screws that hold the spring mechanism in the top cap. Unscrew the metal housing from the top cap and you should be able to access them to take it apart. Good luck.

Thanks Thayamax, I'll try that if I can find a small enough screwdriver. I've never seen such tiny screws as those! I miss my Revel. :)

ok, it's been a little over a month now I've been using mine. It's been my daily driver since I've had it and I have a couple of notes I think I should state about this atty. The mid section on mine has been a pain to screw on to the tank section since I've had it. I find myself rotating the piece until I can find the right thread channel. Annoying and I have to be very careful or I will ruin the threads. Also, it always feels like it's about to go dry. I feel like I'm filling this thing all day long. It's too the point now that I bring the bottle with me wherever I go and if it's right there I drip with the bottle and save the tank for when it's just too difficult to drip from the bottle. Like when I'm driving. The single center post gets me a bit too. I like the newer double positive post designs on the newer drippers. Shallow juice well. If it was a bit deeper there would be far less juice running out of my air holes.

With all that said. I still like it. It works well despite the points I have listed and it's a reliable and easy way to vape, and the vape is very nice. Also the looks when at the vape shop when someone sees it and says "what's that?" is kind of fun. I'll continue to use it just for that factor. I doubt this particular device will become overly popular so it's nice to have your own thing sometimes.

You can close the airflow on the revel to the point it's like an iclear 16. I wouldn't say airflow is a negative on the revel. I use mine half closed and sometimes a little more depending on the juice.

Sure, but it's nearly impossible to fine tune. It goes from too tight to too airy with barely any movement at all. Keep in mind I rarely do lung inhales.

I just ordered mine tonight. I have the Pontus and I do like it. The only small issue I have is that as I chain vape it auto drips unless i use at least 80 VG, and sometimes even then. I assume it's because of the heat from the coil thinning the juice in the tank. Thankfully it doesn't leak and it doesn't auto drip when it's just sitting. I'm hoping the heat sink fins on the Revel will help with that.

My Big Dripper does the auto-drip thing a bit too, I just put it down to me sucking too hard on it and that causing a vacuum effect (the juice being sucked down into the chamber to balance it out).
It does not auto-drip enough to be helpful though, I still need to press the plunger every few hits.

i had the same problem with my big dripper (auto-dripping) at first. this was because i was top-filling it. top filling caused constant pressue in the tank so whenever i took a draw, it would auto-drip. if i vaped at the perfect pace, it would be perfect but i didnt always vape at the perfect pace and it caused flooding. now that i bottom fill, i havent had that problem at all. working as designed.

for bottom filling, i just unscrew the base and tilt it to the side, leaving the chimney still in the drip tip connector. the chimney stays sealed in the drip tip connector as you fill and no leaks occur. im a big fan of the big dripper.

I got mine from 101vapes.com. It appears to still be listed in stock. Their shipping is pretty speedy.

101s price is now lower ($32)
im consdiering them or Vapor DNA. its more expensive at DNA, but i have a $10 off $35 coupon. decisions decisions. also, i can share the $10 off coupon code if anyone is interested.
