Hey all. Ive been ordering Dekang 555 from Litecig for some time now. The flavor, vapor and TH are consistant and I really like the flavor.
The prices are great as well as the customer service but this will not BIAS my review in any way.
On with it, - Review was done with 510 RIVA Battery and Joye 510 Atomizer.
I heard someone here mention in this forum that the Dekang Gold Label vaping Prime liquid (DGLVP) tasted the most like 555 so naturally I jumped at the chance to taste a "better" version of my favorite vape.
I bought 1 bottle which was $8.95 for a 10ml.
Fit and Finish - The packaging was top notch. Came in a nice box (like a lipstick box) that lists the ingredients on the side.
1. Tobacco Extract
2. Vanilla Extract
3. Cocoa Extract
4. Glycerin
5. Propylene Glycol
The bottle is a nice brown with, of course, a gold label. Label was a little hard to read but it states some safety facts and the name - vaping Prime, and the strength- 18mg. Upon removing the cap I see a very thin "sealed" dropper. I tipped it upside down and squeezed but nothing came out. I needed to use scissors to cut off the end. I must say I LOVE this dropper bottle. WIth most droppers you get a couple drops out and there is some left over which runs down the bottle and gets all inside the cap. This type works so much better - I think cause the hole is so small. But no mess. Seems like no waste this way either. F&F 9 out of 10.
Smell - from the bottle- I squeezed the open dropper under my nose and could smell tobacco and something else I couldnt put my finger on - at this point I HAD NOT read the ingredients on the side. I later figured out what the second smell was but this was only after I had vaped it. It was Cocoa. Im not sure how to grade this as a strong smell from the bottle could be a good or a bad thing depending. I will give it a 7 cause I can smell it but its not too strong but its not distinctive enough that I could figure out what the 2nd smell was. Smell (OOB) 6 out of 10
Taste- I placed 2 drops directly on a clean Joye 510 atomizer and waited only long enough to screw the cap back on. I could defeinately taste tobacco, almost a smoky like taste but there was something else in there I did not expect. Chocolate. Now for some of you this may be nice but I have never had a 555 with cocoa in it. This was more like RY4 minus the sweetness, I do not like chocolate flavor of any kind in my vape. Now just because I dont like it doesnt mean it isnt good. Im sure others would like it as it is a VERY smooth vape. Easy on the palatte and none of the flavors are too overwhelming. Taste - 7 out of 10
Thoat Hit - The throat hit on this was pretty decent. I could feel I was getting my nicotine but not the harshness that has often come along with Dekang juices (Ive tried many) For 18mg it was very good and I could vape something like this every day. Throat Hit - 8 out of 10
Vapor Production - This is one place where Dekang has always shined in my eyes. I have always gotten great vapor from Dekang juices and from what Ive been told they have been strictly PG -which in my experience produces less vapor than VG but keeps the flavor better. Because I want my cake and eat it too I choose dekang so I can get best TH with best flavor. This GL did not dissapoint. Great vapor. What really surprised me though is when I read the outside of the box and noticed that there was indeed Glycerin in this stuff. Hmmm strange. I had to take a few more hits and figured maybe this is what they did to take the harshess out of the TH? Whatever they did, it works. Vapor Production - 9 out of 10
Bottom Line- I REALLY wanted to love this ejuice. And it is good, no doubt but IMHO, not worth the extra dough. Now I have to admit I may be a little BIASED because of my dislike of Cocoa and I probably will not vape any more of it because of the taste. If I had known it had Cocoa in it I would have never ordered it. Are you guys at Litecig listening? A ingredient list in the website description would have been very helpful in my decision and perhaps I wouldnt feel as I had wasted $9 on something I wont vape. This juice shouldve been compared to RY4 as I would say thats closer to what it tastes like. If you like RY4 this may be what youve been looking for.
