Good and sturdy. The only thing that I noticed was my Boge XL cartos do not fit unless you run the tank upside down with the area for the flanged carto at the top. No biggie because that recess actually makes a nice little area that the drip tip fits down in. The silver finish on them is a little lacking, but I wrapped mine and problem solved. Overall I think this a very nice tank for the price, plus it holds almost 6ml of juice.

Thanks for the review, is there any way you could get some pics of it completely taken apart? I"m curious how it's set up, as in the way the glass and the metal sleeve attach to the endcaps and fit together.

A few more questions:

How thick is the glass?

(these questions would be answered with pics, but if you can't do pics)

Does the metal sleeve screw into the end caps to keep the whole thing together?

You say there is a recess for the flange, is this a completely circular recess like their other metal-endcap tanks, or does it have a flange like their earlier plastic endcap tanks to stop the tank from spinning on the carto?

Thanks!

The pictures will be rather boring. From what I can tell, the endcaps are permanently secured. Ill check again when I get home.

If that's the case, pics would indeed be quite boring.

I was hoping the glass tube would seal against the endcaps via orings, and the whole thing would be held together via the metal cover being threaded to the endcaps. I'm very disappointed now, I bet they use that same glue or epoxy they use with the UDCT, come on smoktech!!

I was hoping someone would start a thread for these after buying one, as I've had a few questions about them.

Smok refers to these as "locking tanks", similar to the UDCT/Atermas. Is this the case, or do the just have the round flange on the bottom like the regular DCTs? Also, what's the OD (outside diameter) in mm? I'm curious if the diameter is a close match to the ProVari.

I'm still debating on buying one of these, or waiting for IBTanked to release the SS 22mm end caps to buy the 22mm XL version.

Here are the pictures.

This is technically the top but like I stated, I had to reverse the Boge XL cartos.

Technically the bottom. It has the recess and also flat parts for the cartos with flat sided flanges.

Orange is on a Sigelei Zmax and Black is on a Vamo (for size comparison) I would say they are slightly smaller than 19mm. My Phiniac 19mm is pretty much flush with the sides of the Vamo.

Thanks for the pics! Still a shame it can't be taken apart, but for some people that might be better. For a little over 10 bucks, it's the cheapest glass tank on the market as far as I know.

I wish they would make 35mm versions though! Are most people really using the xl cartos? It seems smoktech completely ignores people using standard length cartos. AFAIK every single tank they've made was for 45mm.

I'm loving mine. I'm most definitely getting more. I'm sure they'll be coming out with 3 mL "minis" soon. Once they do, I'm getting like 9 of them.

Love how they lock to prevent the tank from spinning around the carto, but leaves enough room for airflow. I hope they do some different colors, though. The silver is a bit to "bright" for me, if that makes any sense. I prefer an untextured finish, as well. If they did a "gunmetal" color with a smooth texture, I'd be even happier. Also love how you can't pop the end caps off when inserting or removing the carto.

These things are pretty cool, I say.

I got a couple of them and agree with everything you said including the Boge xl cartos. I can't for the life of me figure out why they won't go in the right way. I'd love to know what's stopping them.

I picked one the pink one from Vaportek. Very much looking forward to it as it's my first carto tank. w00t w00t!
I was going to pick up some pre-punched Boge XL Cartos for it, 2.0 should be good, right? Are there any issues with using the tank upside down as you said you had to do with using these cartos? Do you lose the locking capability or anything?
