my carto tanks have more flavor than my protank with cotton.
I was getting a little dry hits this morning, so I took the 1mm flavor wick I put in with the cotton. I'm hoping this will fix the dry hits.
has anyone who's rewicked with cotton ball or cheesecloth also compared their flavor to a carto or carto tank?
I've finally found the flavor I was looking for with carto tanks, so my KPTs are collecting dust at the moment. However, I will admit when using cotton wicks, I didn't know they should soak for an hour before firing, so I may have been losing alot of flavor with burnt wicks.
Will try again, but the cartos are working very well.
Just wondering how a properly cotton wicked KPT compares for flavor with a carto?
I used makeup pads pulled apart for the fluffy center. I've got some peaches and cream yarn I'm going to try tonight.
Did the yarn work for you?
Did the yarn work for you?
Maybe I did not boil the yarn enough, but I put the cotton back in. I'll give it another shot latter.
Hmmmm. I didn't boil my yarn. It's white worsted grade. Shoot, sorry it didn't work. Problem was flavor?
What type of clearomizer? So I got bored a couple days ago and started experimenting with my coil builds. I made a coil with 2 strands of 32ga kanthal twisted together. I did 7 wraps, it came untwisted while I wrapped the coil. So basically what I ended up with was a dual coil head that came out at 1.5ohms. I am running it at 3.6v and this thing is a vapor producing monster with those 14 wraps. It is almost to much for me to handle, I got a little bit of a sore throat today.
What type of clearomizer?
Wow going to have to try that some day. Can you snap a pic of it?
Just for the record...
I'm going on three weeks using my own coil and the white worsted yarn I mentioned earlier in the thread. That's three weeks with different juices doing nothing but rinsing between fills. No leaks, no dry hits, no burned taste. A touch of a gurgle now and then, but quickly eliminated by turning up the voltage.
To be clear... I have NOT changed the coil or wick.
