Ok so some of you use the Kanthal A-1 ribbon like myself and I'm wondering..if you use the drillbit method, how do you get the coil to firmly hold it's shape when you remove the coil from the drillbit, I've tried annealing it over and over and it still remains fairly springy, then once I anneal it off the drillbit it loosens up and the coils are the wrong size and uneven and my fingers get a bit burnt lol. I don't have a butane torch or I'd just anneal it while on the drillbit.
